These days, Crews is best known for his starring role on the Fox-turned-NBC comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Crews has portrayed Sergeant (now Lieutenant) Terry Jeffords since the shows’ inception. He’s a pivotal member of the cast

But Brooklyn Nine-Nine isn’t his only gig these days. Crews recently became the host of America’s Got Talent, as well as its spinoff, America’s Got Talent: The Champions. He has also taken on a few notable film roles over the past few years, including parts in Deadpool 2 and Sorry to Bother You.

He had a very different career before becoming an actor

Given his build, it may not surprise you to learn that Crews is an athlete. In fact, before making the transition to acting, he was a defensive end and linebacker in the NFL. Crews played for the Los Angeles Rams, the Green Bay Packers, the San Diego Chargers, the Washington Redskins, and the Philadelphia Eagles in the ‘90s.

Crews began acting in the early ‘00s. He appeared in films such as White Chicks, The Longest Yard, and Idiocracy. Prior to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, he had starring roles in series Everybody Hates Chris and Are We There Yet?

This is how Crews met his wife

Terry Crews and his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in July 2019. Crews doesn’t share many intimate details of his personal life, but from the above Instagram caption, we can determine that they met while living in Michigan, Crews’ home state and where he attended college. It also sounds as though they met in church.

In his own anniversary post on Instagram, Crews shared that he was just 20-years-old when they got married. He added, “I knew I had found the one…I’m glad I was right.” Clearly, this is a couple that’s going the distance.

How many kids do they have?

Crews and King-Crews are, in the actor’s own words, “building a dynasty.” They have five children together, along with a grandchild. Again, Crews doesn’t often share too much information about his personal life, but thanks to social media, we can learn a little bit about his family.

The Crews family appeared on Celebrity Family Feud. Their group consisted of Crews, King-Crews, her mother, Anna Mae Parks, and two of their daughters: Azriél and Tera. From Instagram, we can see that the former is an actress, singer, and makeup artist who attended the NBC Upfronts with Crews this year. The latter is also in the entertainment industry and is 20 years-old.

Relationships are not easy, and perhaps no one knows that better than America’s Got Talent: The Champions host Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca King-Crews. Since getting married over 29 years ago, the couple has overcome some challenging times. But despite the odds, they worked through it all. How? Rebecca said that she married her best friend — though, at first, she wasn’t so sure how she felt about him.

For Rebecca and Terry it wasn’t love at first sight.

Back in the ’80s, Heavy reports that Rebecca was voted Miss Gary, Indiana, and went to Western Michigan University to pursue a music and theater career. Meanwhile, Terry was busy playing football at the same school. It is believed that the two met during this time. According to Rebecca though, sparks weren’t immediately flying.

“He almost got stuck in the friend zone,” Rebecca, 52, told E News. “He was a little too nice.” But eventually Rebecca and Terry got together, and in 1990 they tied the knot. That same year, they welcomed their oldest daughter, Azriel, into the world (the couple now have five children). One year later, Terry got drafted to the NFL and began his career playing for the Los Angeles Rams. In 1997, the now 50-year-old star retired from football and began acting.

Despite Hollywood success, Terry’s relationship was in trouble …

While the pair smiled at the cameras on the red carpet, Terry wasn’t happy. After stepping away from football, he told ABC that he fell into depression as a result of transitioning from well-known athlete to civilian. Then, three years after his family wrapped up filming The Family Crews reality show, Terry revealed in his 2014 book Manhood: How to Be a Better Man — Or Just Live With One that he had struggled with an addiction to pornography — a habit that almost cost him his marriage. Two years later on his three-part Facebook video series entitled “Dirty Little Secret,” Terry got real about how he was addicted to it for years and never told his wife.

“My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore, I’m out of here,’” he said. “That changed me. I had to change because I realized this thing is a major, major problem.”

On Dr. Phil, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star said he went to therapy for his addiction and, as a result of his desire to change, Rebecca came back to him. On the show, Rebecca said it took her about three years to really trust him again after she seriously considered leaving him for good. But the two ended up working through it – something Terry is eternally grateful for.

“When someone knows you from good all the way to the rottenest, dirtiest part of you, and loves you anyway, that’s the rarity, that’s where you want to be,” Terry remarked on the program in March 2018.

Apart from Terry’s addiction and depression struggles, Rebecca was there for him when he alleged he was sexually assaulted by Hollywood agent Adam Venit at a party in 2016. Terry and Venit agent settled in September 2018.

“I have nothing but pride for my husband. This is a subject worth fighting over. We spent a lot of our own money to fight. Which we got back,” Rebecca told Unpopular Magazine. “I got to see my husband fight for his rights in a town where he had to put up with a lot of stuff to work. It was a great moral victory.”

Looking ahead, the two are nothing but smiles.

Now that some tough times are behind them, Rebecca and Terry have some big things to look forward to. Rebecca recently released her single “Destiny” in the summer of 2018, and Terry’s hosting America’s Got Talent: The Champions right now. No matter where their lives go next, Rebecca and Terry seem to have each other’s backs, as evidenced by their heartfelt Instagrams about one another.

AGT host Terry Crews has been married to his wife Rebecca King Crews for almost 30 years. Earlier this week, he appeared on The View, where he shared what he thinks is the secret to a successful relationship. You might want to take notes.

Terry started out by admitting that he and Rebecca have “made all the mistakes,” adding, “We’ve lost homes, we’ve lost children, we’ve broke up, we’ve got back together.” He says that all of it has made them “realize what’s really important.”

“All healing, all regeneration of a marriage… starts from you admitting your own faults.”

Terry Talks About Blame

Terry then got a little philosophical, sharing his belief “every man, at some time in his life, is either a fool, a victim, or a king.” He admitted that he was initially a fool, and then he became a victim, blaming his wife for things. “The king stage is when you realize everything good and bad in your life is your responsibility,” he explained.

“All healing, all regeneration of a marriage, of a life, starts from you admitting your own faults,” he continued. Co-host Joy Behar jumped in to point out that this doesn’t just apply to men. She said when she took the blame “for my end” after her divorce, she could move on, adding that you’re doomed to repeat your mistakes if you don’t take responsibility.

In 2015, Terry also shared that he and his wife participated in a 90-day “sex fast,” explaining how it changed their marriage. “I found that at the end of that 90 days … I knew who she was, and it wasn’t about ‘Let’s go out because I know I’m gonna get some sex later,’” he said. “It was like, ‘Let’s go because I want to talk to you. Terry Crews & Rebecca King-Crews’ Relationship Timeline Shows They’ll Have A Lot To Teach ‘The Bachelor’ Winner

Celebrity guests abound this season on The Bachelorette, and there are a couple more coming down the pike who could teach Colton and the women a thing or two about love. When Terry Crews and his wife, Rebecca King-Crews show up, they’re likely to give some words of wisdom to guide the group in their journey toward love. According to BroadwayWorld.com, the Crews duo will be assisting in a special fitness-themed date, but that’s not all the knowledge they have up their sleeves.

Fans know Crews from his many acting credits — he’s currently one of the hilarious stars of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and has made a name for himself in everything from The Expendables series and Everybody Hates Chris to a new hosting gig on America’s Got Talent. He’s also a former NFL player who was first scooped up by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1991 Draft.

King-Crews was by his side the entire time, and also has a music career of her own. The two are always posting adorable photos with each other on Instagram, and after decades of cultivating a lasting relationship, there’s definitely plenty that Bachelor Nation could learn from them.

Let’s take a look at the timeline of Crews’ and King-Crews’ life together.

Pre-1989 — The Pair Begins Dating

The couple hasn’t spoken much publicly about their dating years, other than a few comments her and there. King-Crews recently told E! News that at first, it didn’t seem like they’d ever become more than friends. “He almost got stuck in the friend zone,” she told E! News. “He was a little too nice.” Luckily for everyone, that didn’t happen.

1989 — They Say “I Do”

Crews and King-Crews wed nearly 30 years ago, and the throwback photos the two have shared are pretty amazing. Crews said in the caption for the above photo that he was just 20 years old when the ceremony happened. “I knew I had found the one,” he wrote.

The Next Couple Decades — Building A Family

Though ages of all the Crews children are a little unclear other than some birthday posts, the couple are parents of five — Naomi, Azriel, Tera, Wynfrey, and Isaiah, according to Us Weekly. They also told the outlet in 2016 that they wanted to eventually adopt a sixth.

2015 — They Go Public With Relationship Maintenance

Crews told the Huffington Post that he and King-Crews took interesting methods to ensure they remained close both physically and emotionally. “90 days — no sex, all relationship, all talk, all cuddle,” he said. “I found that at the end of that 90 days … I knew who she was, and it wasn’t about ‘Let’s go out because I know I’m gonna get some sex later.’ It was like, ‘Let’s go because I want to talk to you. I want to know you.'”

2015 — A Second Honeymoon Trip

They know how to keep romance alive! Crews shared this series of photos from their international trip celebrating honeymoon number two.

2016 — Cooking Together For Charity

As if this couple wasn’t talented and ambitious enough, in 2016 they also competed together on a special edition of Masterchef: Celebrity Showdown.

2016 — Crews Talks About Marriage Struggles

According to CNN, Crews went public in 2014 with a porn addiction, and in 2016 elaborated on how he needed to move past it in order to save his marriage. “It affected everything. My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore. I’m out of here.’ I had to change,” he said in a Facebook post, per CNN’s site. But in the end, they apparently came out stronger.

2017 — She Stands By Him When His Alleged Sexual Assault Goes Public

Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Crews first alleged on Twitter that he was sexually assaulted in front of his wife by a “high level Hollywood executive” while at an event in 2016. In the time since going public with his experiences, Crews has become a face for male victims of sexual assault and has worked to normalize men coming forward in this realm. King-Crews has publicly voiced support for her husband, and has appeared in interviews backing up his account of the events. “We’re Wonder Woman and Superman,” she told Dr. Phil, per IndieWire. “Bring it on.”

2019 — They’re Looking Happy As Ever At The Golden Globes

Crews and King-Crews are a perfect example of a couple who doesn’t pretend that their relationship is always flawless. They’re quick to admit the bumps in the road, but they’re also ready to bounce back and put the effort in. That’s the kind of dedication it takes to maintain a nearly 30-year marriage, and hopefully it’s the kind of attitude they can instill in Colton and the contestants when they appear on The Bachelor.

Actor Terry Crews identified three phases that he went through while explaining the secret to his 30-year marriage with his wife on “The View” Wednesday, and spoke about why he believes all men go through the same stages in life.

The “America’s Got Talent” host said his growing career appears “self-made,” but credited it to the teamwork between him and his wife, Rebecca King Crews. Terry Crews acknowledged on “The View” that their loving marriage is largely a result of the low points they faced together.

“We’ve made all the mistakes,” Crews said. “We have been through everything together. We grew up together. We’ve lost homes. We’ve lost children… We’ve broken up. We’ve gotten back together, and it’s one of those things when you start to realize what’s really important.”

“You have got to understand, every man at some time in his life is either a fool, a victim or a king,” he added.

Terry Crews said that “in the beginning” he “was a fool” in life. “I’ll be honest. It was one of those things where I didn’t know what was important. I messed it all up.”

After the “fool” stage, Crews said he “became a victim,” blaming the problems he experienced on those around him. “There were so many things I would blame her about,” he said of his wife.

The final “king” stage was when Crews said he realized “everything good and bad in your life is your responsibility.”

“When you realize, ‘Wait a minute, it is you.’ Now you can correct it. Now, all healing, all regeneration of a marriage, of a life starts from you admitting your own faults.”

Last week it was announced that in 2020, Terry Crews would be inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame with stars Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Wendy Williams and more. He told “The View” that when he first started dating Rebecca King Crews, he told her that they would play in the NFL, move to Los Angeles to make movies and then get a star on the infamous Walk of Fame.

“This is literally more than I could ever ask or think. It’s one of those things where I’m living in a dream. I’m scared to wake up,” Crews told “The View” co-hosts. “All the things that I have ever dreamed have come true, and I’m just so thankful. I’m the most grateful man in Hollywood, period.”

The couple has five children together and have stuck by each other through think and thin. He told “The View” that “it was me and my wife together” and her support that made his career what it is today.

“All of a sudden, you make it happen. You know this is our journey, 100 percent, and to see what two people can do together, this is really a testament to that.”

Rebecca King-Crews credits her song ‘Breathless’ to enduring bumps in her marriage to husband Terry Crews

You may know Rebecca King-Crews as superstar Terry Crews’ wife, but there’s more to her than just that. She is finally taking the music world by storm and dropping her pseudonym ‘Regina Madre’, which is the name she has been releasing music under for years now. She has four songs released under ‘Regina Madre’, and more recently released two new songs under her true identity, Rebecca King-Crews. In an exclusive conversation with MEAWW, Rebecca explained the reason behind hiding her identity for so long and what it was that inspired some of her best songs.

“It was becoming increasingly difficult to hide my appearance. When we did photo shoots and media for posting, we were always trying to do things that didn’t show my face and obscure my appearance.”

After being encouraged by her family and the team behind her music, she decided to drop the identity that she had created for herself. However, that’s not necessarily an easy thing to do, as there is a stigma behind being the wife of a celebrity, with people already having a preconceived notion of who you are and what you can do.

“I put the music out under Regina Madre simply because I wanted the people to hear my music without bias. If you have ever been in the public eye for any reason, there are a whole plethora of preconceived ideas about someone.”

Her single ‘Breathless’, one of the first songs she released under her real name, was an extremely personal piece that she felt she needed to share in an honest and vulnerable way. While at first listen it’s an upbeat dance song, there was a great deal of pain, fear, and vulnerability that went into writing it. Soon after the release, Rebecca also released an extremely personal, beautiful and relatable music video featuring her husband Terry Crews.

“I did shoot a video about a year and a half ago called ‘Breathless’, which is another song I wrote about my marriage. When I wrote that song, my husband and I had this huge fight, and it had to do with our future, it had to do with the direction we were trying to go as a couple. And I decided that I didn’t want to do it his way anymore, I wanted my way. I spent my 20s and a lot of my 30s just cheerleading whatever it was that he was trying to do. But he got a little used to that, he got a little too comfortable. So I said, ‘Look Boo, this has gotta be a two-way street, it’s gotta be about us, and there are some things that I want that aren’t on your little vision board, and they need to go on there or you need to go.’ He got really, really upset with me and I think it’s because I frightened him.

A common thing my husband would do would just leave, which triggered in me the fear of abandonment because I lost a parent when I was 6 years old. So I was sitting at the keyboard holding my breath, and I didn’t move, I sat there staring at the keys unable to talk or even pick up a phone and call a girlfriend. And out of the blue, my hands went down to the keyboard, and the song came out. I knew that every girl in the world has felt like that. Will you be there for me? Are you there for me when you don’t like what I have to say? Do you love me and do you love me unconditionally? Because that’s what I need.”

“Ninety days, no sex. All relationship, all talk, all cuddle,” that’s what actor Terry Crews said he and his wife, Rebecca, have just underwent. He says it made the relationship far stronger. The couple have been married since 1990 and have three daughters, Azriel, Tera, and Wynfrey, and one son, Isaiah, together. She’s famous in her own right, known for her beauty queen days as well as being a renowned gospel singer.

Here’s what you need to know about the love of Terry Crews’ wife:

1. Terry Crews Says at the End of the 90 Days He Was More in Love With Rebecca

In an interview with Huffington Post Live, Terry admitted that he and his wife had gone through a 90 day fast on sex, saying it brought them closer together. He told the website:

Ninety days, no sex. All relationship, all talk, all cuddle. I found at the end of that 90 days, I was more in love, more turned on. I knew who she was. It wasn’t like, ‘Let’s go out because I know I’m going to get some sex later.’ It was more, ‘Let’s go out because I wanna talk to you. I wanna know you.’

He added:

You cannot love someone and control them at the same time. All attempts to control your significant other are gonna lead in heartbreak because love is freedom. You know, if I kept my wife locked up in the basement, that ain’t love! If I restricted her in any way, it’s not love. But love is when she comes in the door because she wants to. Love is when she says, ‘Hey, let’s go out’ because she wants to be with me and it’s the same thing that I do with her.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor also talked about his battles with depression saying “I’ve been in shape for a long time but there was a time when I wasn’t. To be honest, I got really, really depressed after football was over. I had to learn to acknowledge that I have sad days.”

2. She Starred in the Family’s Reality Show Despite Her Motherly ‘Protective Instinct’

Their family briefly starred in a realty show about their lives, named The Family Crews, which aired on BET. According to the IMDB page for the show, Rebecca served as a producer. She told the media in the lead-up to the show’s launch about her reservations about putting her family on blast, “As the mom, of course there is a protective instinct. I guess the best way for me to address that is that we’re already a show business family. My husband’s an actor. He’s already famous. We have gone to events together. People know our family. We are not strangers to the entertainment business.” The show ended in 2011 with no explanation. A Twitter page for the program is no longer active.

3. In 1984, She Was Crowned Miss Gary, Indiana

A nostalgia photo that Rebecca posted of her and Terry back in the day. (Twitter)

According to her profile on her now-defunct website, Rebecca was voted Miss Gary, Indiana, in 1984. This occurred during her senior year of high school at Lew Wallace. On her Facebook page, Rebecca says she’s a native of Gary and that she now lives in Los Angeles. On that page, she calls herself the CEO & Founder of Crews Arts Ltd.

4. She Had a Child Prior to Marrying Terry Crews

In 1989, a year before marrying Terry Crews, Rebecca had a daughter named Naomi. During one episode of the family’s reality show, unmarried Naomi tells Terry and Rebecca that she’s pregnant. Her father is a man named Charles Burton. Naomi frequently updates her Facebook page with photos of her daughter.

5. Terry’s Porn Addiction Nearly Ended Their Marriage

In his book, Manhood, Terry described his addiction to pornography and how it nearly destroyed his marriage. During an interview with S2S Magazine, Rebecca admitted that she considered divorce from Terry. She describes herself as “angry and hurtful” to her husband. In that article, Rebecca talks about how she channeled her pain into song. On her LinkedIn page, Rebecca describes herself as a “singer/songwriter.” She adds that she attended Western Michigan University studying musical theater, it’s not clear if she graduated. During her college years, Rebecca had her own Gospel singing group called The Chosen Ones.

Having a successful marriage is hard. Being a famous actor is hard. And when you combine the two? Almost impossible. However, our May cover star and new host of America’s Got Talent Terry Crews and his singer-songwriter wife Rebecca King-Crews make their almost thirty-year marriage look easy, but it’s been a long journey. Here’s what you need to know about the Crews’ marriage.

They started dating in the late 80’s and got married in 1990.

Rebecca and Terry are both natives of Michigan, and according to Terry’s book, Manhood: How to Be a Better Man — Or Just Live With One, they met while he was in college. He went with friends to visit her church, and she was there playing the keyboard.

Initially Terry thought that age (Rebecca is 3 years older than Terry), the fact that Rebecca was a single mom, and his own insecurities would deter a chance of a relationship forming, but after their first date Terry wrote that he “had no apprehensions at all. I knew everything would take care of itself.”

They’ve supported each other through the ups and downs of life.

Terry has been very open about his struggles with depression and porn addiction, detailing his former addiction in his book. And as he told Men’s Health, Rebecca left him in the winter of 2010 after he admitted that he’d gotten a happy ending in a massage parlor nearly a decade earlier.

While this trying time could have ended in a permanent separation, Terry’s commitment to putting in the work to change himself re-strengthened their marriage.

“My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore, I’m out of here,’” Terry explained on his Facebook page when he went public about his addiction. “That changed me. I had to change because I realized this thing is a major, major problem.” The couple also later appeared on Dr. Phil to share their story.

Terry helped develop Rebecca’s stage name, as well as her self-confidence.

Rebecca told Men’s Health that Terry helped her regain her self-esteem. “Well, there were things about me that Terry had to grow me up. I had a tendency to be unfaithful to myself. I would give up on myself, you know what I’m saying? A low self-worth or not extending myself into avenues where I thought I would maybe not do as well. I didn’t jump off the cliff like he would. He’s made me brave. My husband’s made me go after things that I was afraid to do.”

And when Rebecca began releasing new music, she knew she wanted to do so under a stage name. “Regina Madre came about because I wanted to put my music out, and I wanted it to be listened to and to be heard without judgment,” Rebecca told PopCulture.com.

Rebecca explained that her family helped her come up with the name. “I hate to say it was almost a joke, but my kids call me ‘Madre’ all the time. And I don’t remember which one started it, and they’d be like, ‘Hey, Madre, hey Madre.’ I was like, ‘Ooh, I think that’s going to stick,'” Rebecca said. “So it really was just this kind of coming together of words that had significance in my life.”

Terry also helped Rebecca learn to treat herself.

As Rebecca explained to Men’s Health, she used to be solely focused on her career. “Being an NFL wife, you see everything, okay? I had friends who couldn’t get a credit card in their own name ’cause their husbands were so controlling of their money, okay? I had friends who were slaves to their marriage. Husband had the nice car, she had a beater. I was always treated well. My husband always gave me the best car. He always bought me things. I was a frugal, Scrooge-y penny pincher because my family handled money differently. Even though there was a degree of wealth, we were just tight. He would make me buy things for myself. He was like, ‘Honey, you deserve it.’ He treated me like his little queen. He was generous, magnanimous. ‘Let’s go to dinner. Let’s have fun.’ He was very addicted to fun, and I was just work, work, work, work, work.”

And their support for each other came in handy when Terry was assaulted in 2016.

After Terry got into a fight with an aggressive fan in 2006, Rebecca remembers telling him that he needed to learn to walk away. “Our baby’s money for college is gonna go to some idiot in a bar. You have got to learn to just chill,” she told him.

Ten years later, when Terry was sexually assaulted by agent Adam Venit, he remembered his wife’s words. “I remembered my promise. This is after we built our lives together and went through all this therapy. ‘I gotta do what she wants here.’ I got in that car and I was gonna rip the steering wheel off. She just kept saying, ‘I’m proud of you, Terry.’ It saved my life. I wouldn’t be here now if I’d have done it. Who would have believed me?,” he told Men’s Health.

Terry and Rebecca have five children.

The couple loves having a big family and they’ve even talked about adopting a sixth child. “I keep saying, ‘We’ve got to wait until we’re ready,’ but we weren’t ready for our own kids. It’s weird. You’re never ready … Literally, one day we’re just going to have to do it!” Terry told Us Weekly, while Rebecca said, “It’s something we discussed back when we were first married. “It was something that I always felt kind of called to do. I would see ads in magazines, and I would just stare at them like, ‘I’m going to do that one day.’”

The family-of-seven used to have a reality show.

The Crews family starred on their own show, The Family Crews, for two seasons, and Rebecca served as a producer on the show. She initially had reservations about the show, but she said that the family’s experience in Hollywood would actually help them adjust to being on a TV show.

“As the mom, of course there is a protective instinct. I guess the best way for me to address that is that we’re already a show business family. My husband’s an actor. He’s already famous. We have gone to events together. People know our family. We are not strangers to the entertainment business.”

The couple also appeared on Colton’s season of The Bachelor, where they took Colton and the contestants on a workout date.

Humor is one of the main parts of their marriage.

You don’t make it to 30 years of marriage without having a good sense of humor. Terry and Rebecca often playfully rib each other online, like when Rebecca made fun of Terry for looking like “Johnny Appleseed,” and the time when Terry posted a photo of his wife cheekily grabbing his butt with the caption “The only one allowed to touch my junk.”

Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca King-Crews celebrated their milestone 30th anniversary with a party that will probably have guests talking for ages. But Crews told “The View” that their best anniversary yet didn’t include any of the glitz and glam at all.

The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star made a guest appearance on the daytime talk show Thursday where he spoke about the anniversary party he and King-Crews held on July 27, 2019, which included a replica of their original wedding cake and a performance from the musical legend Stevie Wonder. But despite being surrounded by their children, family and friends, Crews admitted the lavish party “wasn’t even our best anniversary.” He said that title goes to his 27th anniversary.

Crews said he and his wife went out for dinner together on their 27th anniversary and ended up in an argument.

Crews ate his dinner, called a car, picked up ice cream for himself and went on his way, he said. When he arrived back home, Crews said he saw his wife relaxing in bed watching TV.

“I roll up next to her and I go, ‘Are you good?’ She said, ‘I’m good,'” Crews said.

“That was the moment I knew we would be together forever. It was the best anniversary,” Crews continued. “You always think when these things happen it’s over… But no, it’s not. That was the best anniversary of all time.”

The couple has five children together — Azriel, Isaiah, Naomi, Tera and Wynfrey — and they’ve stuck by each other through thick and thin. Crews told “The View” in June 2019 that “it was me and my wife together” and her support that made his career what it is today.

The first time Crews met King-Crews, she was playing the piano in church. Even though the actor might seem like a smooth talker today, he told “The View” on Thursday that he had “no game” when they first met.

Actor, funnyman and activist Terry Crews is presently celebrating 30 years of marriage with his love, Rebecca King Crews. Over the weekend, Crews threw a surprise soiree for Rebecca to commemorate the milestone, and it featured, in an epic appearance, Stevie Wonder singing “A Ribbon in the Sky” and getting on the harmonica to play “Superstition” for the couple’s guests.

But truly, no moment has been sweeter than the moment Crews shared the message he wrote for his wife and the mother to his five children.

“In the 30 years since we were first married, there were times it seemed life shifted into hyperspeed – our 5 children going from diapers to high school, the 7 year period in the NFL on 6 different teams, careers in music and entertainment that we started launched last week but in fact has crossed into 20 years,” he wrote. “But there were other instances time ground to a halt— moving to LA and sweeping floors to start over, battles with addiction and depression, losing our home, and actually breaking up for a time. Through all of this, these obstacles have actually made us stronger ….owning the realization that our feelings followed our decisions and not the other way around. Choosing to love each other year after year has proven to be the best decision we’ve ever made, and time has always had a wonderful way of showing us what truly matters.”

Terry and Rebecca originally wed July 29, 1989, and the actor has been honest about the ways in which Rebecca has stood by him even during the darkest times, including when he was open about his sexual assault at the hands of a Hollywood executive and through his past addiction to adult films.

“Now, my wife and I are better than ever,” he recently said about their bond. “We’re back together, super strong. It’s wild because you can’t keep secrets in a relationship. You can’t do it.”

All of that has helped their love last longer than most. Hit the flip to see photos of the pair in love and glowing up together over those many years.
