’90 Day Fiance’: Russ Mayfield and Paola Mayfield celebrated their son’s birthday

Russ and Paola Mayfield faced a lot of challenges in their relationship on the “90 Day Fiancé” show but, they managed to work on themselves, and now they are happy together.

The birth of their baby boy, Axel, made their marriage beautiful as they are currently working hard to make sure their baby boy gets the best parenting.

When Axel was newly born, Paola complained about not being able to be social. She had to stay at home to take care of her child. She knew that her husband cared, but she got jealous that he gets to go out while she stays home with her baby.

Her husband replied, saying that Paola was very protective of their son and would not let anyone touch him.

The only regret the couple had was the way things played out with Paola’s closest friend, Juan. Russ did not appreciate that Juan was always involved in their relationship on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?”

The birth of Russ and Paola baby

The Reality star couple that starred on the TLC series, “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” revealed that they had a miscarriage in the past. They married in the year 2013.

Paola and Russ were delighted to have their baby. Paola said that when people told her Happy New Year, all she cared about was finally meeting her unborn baby.

The reality couple expected a Christmas baby but, they got a New Year baby, and they were still very pleased. They were very ready to get on the adventure of training their child.

Paola and Russ wish their baby boy happy birthday

The “90 Day Fiance” duo celebrated their baby’s birthday party on January 3.

They picked a Star Wars theme. According to Intouch Weekly, Paola took to Instagram to express how happy she is to be a mother. She explained saying that she didn’t need a day to celebrate her bundle of joy because he deserved the celebration every day. The 32-year-old tagged the photo in Colombia, where Axel was all smiles with lots of colorful balloons which spelled out, “Feliz Cumpleaños.”

A few “90 Day Fiancé” stars also commented on Paola’s post, wishing him a Happy one-year-old Birthday.

Paula and Karine commented, “Happy Birthday.” David Toborowsky wished the one-year-old happy birthday too and made a funny joke saying that maybe Paola would order a Cameo from him and his lover, Annie. Russ also shared on his Instagram, a heartwarming speech for his son. The tv-personality thanked his son for being in his life and pointed out how Axel had grown so fast over the few months. He said that his baby had had so many first times, and he looked forward to seeing more. He posted on Axel’s actual birthday on January 1, 2019. Paola posted her post-baby photos, and she looked gorgeous.

’90 Day Fiancé’: Are Any of the Couples Still Together in 2019?

If you think The Bachelorette already rushes romances and even marriage into existence, the show 90-Day Fiancé has done much the same. This hasn’t taken away from their popularity as audiences continually see if the love of someone’s life can be found and nurtured within a short window of time.

The track record of couples staying together on The Bachelorette/Bachelor certainly isn’t the best. There shouldn’t be any surprise the majority of the couples on those shows have long broken up.

So what about 90 Day Fiancé? Their twist, of course, is an American marrying someone from another country within 90 days, which should equate to automatic success. Well, not always, though their rate of success is much, much better than anyone would have thought.

Numerous first season couples are still together

You’ll find a number of first-season couples from 90 Day Fiancé still going strong. Reality TV World recently did a piece scoping out which couples are still married. One of the standout couples is Russ and Paola Mayfield from the first season back in 2013.

According to current information, they not only stayed married but also had children. They had a son born earlier this year after six years of marriage.

Paola was from Colombia originally, proving connections with South Americans can often equal successful marital unions. Of course, the dynamics of a marriage are more to do than geography. How you’re brought up and your personal goals obviously matter.

We could also say the difference of cultures forces these couples into a serious conversation so they understand one another.

More evidence South American relationships lead to successful marriages

Meet 90 Day Fiancé Stars Alan and Kirlyam Cox’s Baby Boy: We ‘Honestly Could Not Be Happier Right Now’

— People (@people) October 11, 2017

Another Season 1 couple is still married today. This couple is Alan and Kirlyam Cox, with latter living originally in Brazil. Plenty of photographic evidence shows just how happy this couple is, not including the two having a son in late 2017.

It helped that Alan was already living in Brazil at the time when he met Kirlyam. Not all scenarios are similar on the show, though religion was involved in their meeting.

Alan happened to be a Mormon doing mission work, so the two connected through personal faith. Whatever your opinion is of the Mormon religion, it kept this couple together all this time.

Nowadays, they’re living in Utah, the mecca of most Mormons.

Another first season couple still married: The Eloshways

90 Day Fiancé Stars Mike and Aziza Eloshway Announce They’re Expecting First Baby

— People (@people) September 15, 2018

Russia is another place where some American men have found love. Mike Eloshway was from Ohio and managed to immediately connect with Aziza from Volgograd, Russia. Thanks to her coming to America on a visa, the two started communicating on a language acquisition website.

You can probably say it’s one of the rare romances on 90 Day Fiancé starting online rather than in person. Nevertheless, once they did meet face to face, it was fireworks.

Today, they live in Ohio and have one daughter born earlier this year. A number of first season couples waited to have children until the last year or two.

Many other couples from the show continue with married life

One of the more recent couples still married is Steven Frend and Olga Koshimbetova. Their relationship initially ran into some international snags after Olga became pregnant not long after the two met here in America.

Koshimbetova had to go back home to her native Russia and became stuck there due to visa delays. However, Steven Frend managed to travel to Russia to see the birth of their son last year.

So far, they’re still together after Olga was finally able to travel to the U.S. By far, it’s one of the more dramatic stories in the 90 Day Fiancé canon, though similar stories usually end up with disastrous outcomes.

With no end in sight for this show, perhaps The Bachelorette/Bachelor producers should reconsider their format and bring in women or men from other countries.

Instagram Russ and Paola Mayfield, stars of TLC’s hit series 90 Day Fiancé, both have successful careers; Russ works as an oil engineer and Paola is a model.

Russ and Paola Mayfield, stars of the hit TLC series 90 Day Fiancé, both have successful careers aside from their reality television gigs on the show. After Russ lost his oil engineering job in Oklahoma, the couple moved to Miami, Florida to focus on their careers. Russ was able to land a new job as an engineer, and Paola started modeling; the couple also promotes several products on their Instagram pages, including tea, fitness products, CBD gummies, fertility tests and more.

Actually, a surprising portion of Paola’s Instagram account is filled with pictures of her endorsing various products; Modern Fertility, Veritas Farms and Abs2B Fitness are some of the most recent brands Pao has endorsed.

Russ and Pao first met at a party in Columbia when Russ, who was an oil engineer, began working in Colombia (Paola is from Bucaramanga). They quickly fell in love and decided to begin the K-1 visa process in 2012 so that Paola could stay with Russ in the U.S. permanently. In order to save money for their wedding, Russ and Paola decided to move in with his parents. In October 2013, the pair finally said “I do,” and have been going strong since; however, the couple had some bumps along the road to their happily ever after, especially when it came to Paola’s modeling career.

When Paola first came to the United States, the couple had settled in Oklahoma to live with Russ’ family. When Pao realized there weren’t many modeling opportunities for her in Oklahoma, she relocated to Miami, where she launched her career. She moved to the city by herself initially, to see if she could find steady work before Russ uprooted his life in Oklahoma to come live in Miami with her.

Russ wasn’t too thrilled with her modeling at first; he was reportedly unhappy with some of the gigs she was landing, which included modeling lingerie. However, he lost his job soon after, so they were relying solely on her income while he was looking for another job.

Russ eventually came to terms with her career choice, and posted about his feelings on Instagram, telling his fans that he wasn’t a jealous man, and although he initially wanted to keep her “curves a mystery,” he was proud of his wife and her career.

“I accept and am proud of my wife for the beautiful woman she is and she’s all mine but like most relationships, we find ourselves with differing opinions at times and love costs and takes effort for it to work,” he wrote back in July, 2018. He proceeded to tell his fans and naysayers that Pao wasn’t using him for his money, and that people needed to mind their own business about their relationship.

However, despite their disagreements on Pao’s career choice, it looks like the couple was able to make it through a variety of issues over the years, including the initial awkwardness between Pao and Russ’ family. The couple welcomed their son Axel into the world in January of this year, and judging by their social media accounts, the little family couldn’t be happier.

Tune in tonight at 8/7c to catch the newest episode of 90 Day Fiancé, only on TLC.

90 Day Fiance fans are angry at Paola Mayfield‘s reaction to husband Russ Mayfield‘s new job offer. During the recent Happily Ever After episode, Russ revealed the reasoning behind their trip back to Oklahoma. And it’s safe to say that Paola was not thrilled in the slightest. Quite the opposite actually. In fact, her reaction caused fans to rant across social media platforms about how terrible her response was. Which resulted in some wondering whether or not she was being selfish.

90 Day Fiance: Paola’s Reaction to Russ’ News

Russ Mayfield received a job offer that would cause the 90 Day Fiance couple to move back the his Oklahoma hometown. Which would result in Paola Mayfield getting uprooted from her preferred fast-paced Miami lifestyle. Obviously, something that they probably should have discussed before Russ sprung the trip on her.

But instead, he decided to drop a major bomb on her. Even though he knows how much of a hot temper the Colombian woman has. So, Paola reacted as well as fans might expect, yet they were still shocked at just how upset she was and how they situation escalated.

I can believe Russ turned down a job for Pao…she walks all over him. #90DayFiance

— Karla MF’n Aranda (@IamKarlitasWay) May 27, 2019

Paola Mayfield Was ‘Never Happy’ in Oklahoma

Paola Mayfield was furious when Russ Mayfield told her he got a job offer at a gas company in Oklahoma City. “I don’t like it in here, I was never happy in here,” she admitted during their discussion seated on a bench over ice cream. Yet, Paola was also upset because Russ waited until they were there to tell her of his plan during last night’s 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.

Paola believes she always ends up being the bad guy in every situation. She even said, “it doesn’t feel good to be the reason he is losing something he really wants”.

But What’s Best For Baby?

With Paola Mayfield being pregnant with their baby boy (on show – IRL she’s had her son), it comes into question whether they are putting the kid first. Paola explained that she wanted their child to grow up in the right environment. Which seems to be Miami, in her opinion. And fans know she loves the city from watching 90 Day Fiance. She claimed the baby is, “my number one priority,” and that the move would stress her out.

On the other hand, Russ Mayfield believes the baby would be better off growing up in Oklahoma. One of his big reasons being that his entire family is there and he wants him to know his grandparents. But also because he will have a really nice job.

90 Day Fiance: Russ Mayfield Gives Up Everything

In the end, Russ Mayfield decides to refuse the job offer to make Paola happy. He is essentially giving up almost everything in order to keep her that way. They will probably end up back in Miami away from his family and raise baby Axel there. Instead of where Russ wants to be, which is in Oklahoma. What do you think – was Paola being selfish or was she justified because she dislikes Oklahoma so much and he knows it?

’90 Day Fiancé’: Paola Mayfield Speaks Up About ‘Racism’ From Fans

Paola Mayfield and Russ Mayfield have appeared on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, and most recently, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. The couple recently welcomed a baby, Axel Mayfield, and Paola takes to social media frequently as part of her job as a personal trainer and fitness model.

One thing Paola is known for is speaking her mind. Across her time on 90 Day Fiancé, the Colombia native has opened up about social media criticism and clapped back at naysayers several times. Most recently, Paola debuted a new hairstyle and challenged 90 Day Fiancé viewers who disagreed with her choice on social media.

She’s spoken out in the past about slut-shaming and mommy-shaming

Paola has a history of defending herself and speaking out about her opinions on her public platform. In mid-November 2019, Paola Mayfield uploaded a sexy dance video to Instagram. While most of the responses were positive, some said that her hip rolls, crop top, and booty shaking were too much for a new mom to be doing publicly.

“I’m just waiting for her to turn into a werewolf,” her 90 Day Fiancé castmate Colt Johnson joked about the full moon behind her, according to Soap Dirt. Other 90 Day Fiancé cast members, like Fernanda Flores, Darcey Silva, and Annie Toborowksy, told Paola she looked amazing.

The 90 Day Fiancé star has also spoken up about mom-shaming. In an interview with People earlier in 2019, Paola told the outlet that she didn’t care what others thought about her revealing outfits.

“ think that because I became a mother, I had to stop being like the way I was,” she said. “That I had to start dressing as a mom, and I don’t even know what that means. I don’t need to change who I am, because I was proud of who I was before I was a mom.”

Mayfield took to her Instagram stories to clap back at a ’90 Day Fiancé’ critic

The music video model and personal trainer, who frequently posts about beauty, workouts, and plant-based nutrition, recently debuted a new light blonde hairstyle on Instagram.

Not everyone was a fan. Some, in particular, mocked the natural brunette’s choice to go blonde. “Latina with blond hair,” one 90 Day Fiancé viewer commented under Paola’s Instagram post, adding a laughing emoji.

According to 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates, Paola Mayfield clapped back on her Instagram stories by saying it was “racist” to assume that all Latina women had dark hair or that they couldn’t be blonde.

“People I hate the most: and f racist people! When you are an alien from alien 51…come at me with your racist comments, but for now, suck it up because we are all damn humans!” Paola wrote in response.

Paola’s hairstyle sparked a social media debate

On another recent Instagram post, Paola shared a short video of herself with her husband Russ Mayfield, who is originally from Oklahoma. In the caption, she joked about jealousy and added, “Don’t get the Latina out of me.”

One 90 Day Fiancé viewer wasn’t buying it. The Instagram user wrote under the post, “So why blonde if you claim you’re such a strong Latina you want to be white. And this is just a question to not get offended I want to hear what’s your feedback cuz everybody I know papers for citizenship they want to be white.”

Paola immediately clapped back at the commenter, writing sarcastically, “and if I dye my hair green that means I want to be an alien.”

Most fans loved her comments, and many Instagram users took Paola’s side. “Just because she dyes her hair blonde, doesn’t mean she wants to be white,” one wrote. Another agreed, pointing out, “Latinas have light hair as well.”

With 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? coming back for season 4 on April 28, fans will once again get to follow around season 1’s Paola and Russ Mayfield. Particularly, viewers will see the couple’s journey as they start a family together, map out a birth plan, and, in the end, welcome their son, Axel, into the world (which happened in January 2019).

As dedicated viewers know, the couple have appeared on all three previous seasons of Happily Ever After — the only duo to do so. But even if you’ve been closely following Paola and Russ for the past five years, there’s still so much to know about how their relationship started, how they feel about their past, and where they are now as a couple.

And so, here’s the full backstory, as well as the latest update on where Paola and Russ are at in their marriage:

Paola and Russ first meet in Colombia

The pair first crossed paths at a party when Russ began working in Colombia (Paola is from Bucaramanga). At the time, Russ had a job as an engineer in the oil industry, which meant he traveled quite a bit.

In 2012, the couple decided to begin the K-1 visa process so that Paola could stay with Russ in the U.S. for good. In order to save money for their wedding, Russ and Paola decided to move back to the small Oklahoma town where he is from and live with his parents. In October 2013, the pair finally said “I do,” and made it official.

Moving, modeling, and overcoming differences

As fans who watched 90 Day Fiancé and Happily Ever After learned, Paola was not a huge fan of Oklahoma, mainly because she wanted to pursue a modeling career and saw that there weren’t very many opportunities for her there. As a result, Paola moved to Miami, Florida, for her career, while Russ remained in Oklahoma.

When talking with before the season 4 premiere of Happily Ever After, Russ says that bringing Paola to Oklahoma, in retrospect, was probably not the best plan for their relationship.

“A realization for me was bringing Paola to Oklahoma, and how naive I was in that moment, but I wouldn’t change anything,” he explained. “It did bring out a lot of challenges, but that was being young and naive.”

One of the challenges Russ faced was losing his job in season 2 of Happily Ever After, which, naturally, put a financial strain on the couple’s relationship.

But that wasn’t all. Aside from living apart, more problems began to arise when Russ made it clear that he didn’t like the kind of modeling jobs Paola was booking in Miami. Even though Paola started off with a local commercial, she soon started getting lingerie gigs, which Russ thought were “too sexy” at the time.

“I don’t think it’s fair for him to tell me, like, what to do and what not to do,” Paola explained during an episode of Happily Ever After.

Russ’s disapproval of Paola’s modeling gigs took a very obvious toll on their relationship. But after years of getting flack for criticizing Paola’s modeling efforts, Russ clarified on Instagram that he’s actually “not the jealous type” at all.

“There’s much more to me than what you see on TV,” Russ wrote. “I accept and am proud of my wife for the beautiful woman she is, and she’s all mine, but like most relationships, we find ourselves with differing opinions at times and love costs and takes effort for it to work.”

While the two might still not see eye to eye when it comes to modeling, Paola tells us that she now understands where Russ was coming from. In the end, compromise is something that they’re still trying to work on.

“I always stand up for what I believe … and I’m glad that my husband was actually able to respect my decisions and to understand where I’m coming from,” Paola says. “And I respect his beliefs.”

Russ, too, says that he’s learned to honor the fact that he and Paola view her job differently. He believes the friction stems from cultural differences and the different environments in which they were raised.

“It’s two different countries, and two different worlds,” Russ explains. “You learn a lot from each other and the cultures … There’s a big world out there, and you have to respect a lot of things, what you may have been told. I’m glad that I’ve expanded out of Oklahoma … but at the same time, I embrace that and cherish that.”

Dealing with Paola’s best friend, Juan

While the couple may agree to disagree on modeling, another huge source of tension came from Paola’s best friend, Juan. From day one, Juan was openly against their marriage, and even told Russ his feelings to his face. To make matters worse, Russ felt like Paola was taking Juan’s side and not sticking up for him.

In the end, though, Paola declared that her best friend needed to “be more respectful” if he wanted to be a part of their lives.

” more civil, cordial. That’s all I’ve asked from him,” Paola told Newsweek.

Looking back on the situation, Paola says that she doesn’t like how she dealt with Juan.

“The biggest thing that I feel is haunting me is not being able to support my husband, and give my husband the place he deserves when it comes to my best friend,” Paola admits. “My best friend has always been my life … I didn’t back my husband up, and it’s just something I really regret.”

The struggles of starting a family

All of the drama with Juan though, seemed small in comparison to when the couple learned that they had suffered a miscarriage.

“A couple of weeks before traveling to Colombia, I found out I was pregnant. And two days after had to go to the emergency room and I had miscarriage,” Paola said in an episode of Happily Ever After season 3. “The happiness I felt when I found out I was pregnant was happiness I’ve been looking for my whole life.”

Thankfully, by the time the 2018 90 Day reunion had come around, Paola and Russ found out that they were expecting again. During Paola’s pregnancy in late 2018, she told E! News that the baby was really helping them grow even closer together as a couple.

“We are focused on bringing our son into a calm and loving environment while putting aside our differences and problems from the past,” Paola told the outlet. “We are doing our best to remove any negativity whether that be people or situations.”

Finally, in January 2019, Paola and Russ became parents. When sharing the news with her Insta followers, Paola said that “the joy I feel is indescribable, I’ve never felt so happy in my life. Axel has become my whole world and I’m so in love with him.”

And that brings us to Paola and Russ today …

Paola and Russ are now in a completely different place

From the outside, it looks like the two are doing really well since the birth of their son. According to LinkedIn, Russ is working as a Technical Product Lead for Pure Technologies in Miami, and Paola is the owner and a trainer at her fitness company Super Pao Fit. She’s currently working on creating new workout programs and building her brand as a social media influencer.

But while the two undoubtedly have so much going for them, being new parents has definitely made things difficult for them.

” forever challenging. During the pregnancy I felt things were going really good,” Russ explains. “But having the baby, it’s another challenge and that’s a dynamic … that we’re still trying to figure out.”

Paola, meanwhile, revealed that she’s been suffering from postpartum depression. She says that it’s contributed “a lot of stress” to their relationship.

“I’m not going to lie, it hasn’t been easy,” Paola explains. “I feel like the patience that I had when I was pregnant is completely gone, so I have to be … more conscious about the way I am with my husband. It’s really hard, I’m not going to lie.”

She continues: “Having a baby is the most amazing, beautiful thing to ever happen in my life, but it’s hard work.”

On a happier note, Russ and Paola say that little Axel is doing very well. Russ adds that their 4-month-old is “growing so fast” and “his personality is coming out.”

“It’s fun, and challenging, and rewarding, and exhausting, all of the above,” Russ jokes.

But even though the road is tough right now, Russ and Paola both seem content with the life they’ve created with one another.

“We’ve learned so much from each other and have built a relationship together that I’m really proud of,” Russ says.

As for the rest of Paola and Russ’s story, we’ll have to watch it all unfold in front of the cameras.

However, Russ shut those rumors down quickly enough, writing on Instagram that Pao loved him for him, wasn’t using him for money, and that she is the “love of his life.”

“I am tired of the comments from the marriage ‘experts’ stating I deserve better, my wife doesn’t respect me, or she only loves me for my money and so on and so forth,” he wrote on the picture above. “The mere glimpse of our lives shown doesn’t always show our best moments but impressions and expressions from our cultural differences and how we are coming together as an even stronger couple.”

He continued: ” I am proud of where I come from and where I am going and that’s with the love of my life, whom I love for better or for worse.”

Calculating net worth: The most basic equation is subtracting your liabilities (everything you owe/debts) from your assets (everything you own). Your net worth is the amount by which your assets exceed any liabilities, and it’s an accurate reflection of your financial health.

’90 Day Fiance’ Fan Attacks Paola Mayfield For Breastfeeding in Instagram Photo

When it comes to Instagram fans of 90 Day Fiancé Paola Mayfield seems to be particularly controversial. During her pregnancy, Mayfield received all sorts of comments, to which she responded with confidence and aplomb. However, she’s now facing yet another backlash following a breastfeeding photo she shared on Instagram.

Pregnancy comments, Paola Mayfield claps back

Paola Mayfield is proud of her body, and she wasn’t willing to change how she treated it or dressed during her pregnancy. The 90 Day Fiancé star claims she faced quite a bit of hate for that online.

In an interview with People, Paola said, “People think that because I became a mother, I had to stop being like the way I was. That I had to start dressing as a mom, and I don’t even know what that means. I don’t need to change who I am, because I was proud of who I was before I was a mom.”

Paola also took to Instagram to deal with the hate before it could hit her hard. She shared a video of her pregnancy, and wrote, in part, “Before the #momshaming start with the blah blah blah comments. Let me tell you this. No, I’m not worried what my kid’s friends will say about me when they see my photos or videos, that is way down the road for me to even worry about. Plus, I haven’t even pushed this baby out yet lol! I’m not changing just because I’m pregnant or becoming a mom, I was proud before of who I am and what I’ve done so there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

She received many critical and unking comments on the video. However, one fan had her back, writing, “I can’t believe the negative comments. People should be ashamed of themselves. You are beautiful. Pregnant or not you should be proud of yourself. If you got it flaunt it. And you got it. Nothing wrong with this video. Beautiful.”

Boob ready for departure ✈️ and baby ready for a nap! #stillbreastfeeding #proudmom #normalizebreastfeeding

A post shared by Paola (@paola_mayfield) on Jan 5, 2020 at 12:25pm PST

Now, Paola Mayfield is dealing with yet another round of haters, this time focused on her breastfeeding habits. In a photo posted to Instagram, Paola is breastfeeding her son on an airplane. She captioned it, “Boob ready for departure, and baby ready for a nap!”

One user was critical of the photo, as reported by InTouch Weekly, writing, “I’m all for breastfeeding your baby where ever they’re hungry but just pulling out your in front of my 12-year-old boy is a little much you can cover yourself because there’s no reason to pull your out in front of everyone unless you’re seeking attention.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star was quick to fire back. She wrote, “If you know who I am, you know what I stand up for, so don’t sugar me! Because of people like you, there are so many women that aren’t breastfeeding their babies. Instead of worrying about a woman using their breasts to feed their babies, maybe worry about your husband or son watching porn, not a woman feeding a son.”

Another user expressed that critical comments like the one above are one the reasons she’s afraid to breastfeed. She wrote, in part, “It’s those negative e comments that always made me afraid to feed my child in public. I wish I would have been as brave as you. I breastfed my child 17 months and omg I always felt so scared to get shamed for feeding my child.”

How she feels about the haters

While Paola Mayfield is usually quick to reply to the haters on Instagram and shut them down, she has admitted that they sometimes get to her.

She told People, “Sometimes it makes me double think my decisions and it makes me wonder if I did something right or wrong. But the decisions I am making for my son are in my heart.”

Her husband, Russ, said, “She received the backlash and she was like, ‘No, this is who I am and I’m not going to change because you suddenly think I’m supposed to be this stay-at-home mom.’”
