It’s no secret that Nicole Scherzinger has a big crush on Thingamajig. She mentions it every time he’s on The Masked Singer stage! But is Nicole turning the show into The Masked Dating Show?

Nicole Scherzinger flirting with Thingamajig on The Masked Singer

Nicole Crying After Thingamajig’s Performance

It all started when Nicole cried during Thingamajig’s performance of “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves. She complimented him, saying “I’m looking at Thingamajig but he sounds like an angel.” The two even throw up hearts to each other! Love is definitely in the air between Thingamajig and Nicole. And her love for the masked creature goes beyond just that. She is constantly gushing about his voice and how she can’t wait to discover who it is. He’s one of the most talented singers in the competition, so we can’t blame her!

Thingamajig Dedicates a Song to Nicole on The Masked Singer

Later in the season, Thingamajig dedicated his performance of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by The Temptations to “Nicoleamajig.” The panelists all joke with her that she might’ve already dated him! But knowing who’s under the mask, that’s not true. Nicole mentions that she is “in love with his voice” and she’s “not going anywhere.” Thingamajig says he’s “just glad that she likes me.” They have such a fun banter between them and I love how the other panelists have picked up on it too!

Nicole Says She’d Marry Thingamajig

Finally, it all concluded with Nicole saying she’d marry Thingamajig. She’s commented numerous times that Thingamjig is her “husband” and guest panelist Anthony Anderson offered to marry them. That even led to the Leopard “proposing” to host Nick Cannon, who joked “Nicole’s with Thingamajig…I had to get something!” With all this talk of dating and marriage, has the show become The Masked Dating Show? All we’re saying is, we don’t hate it. Now we just need to pair up Jenny, Ken, and Robin!

But the talk of Little Thingamajigs? Maybe a little too soon for Nicole. We still don’t know who’s behind Thingamajig’s mask! Or how far he’ll go in the competition. We have a prediction about who Nicole Scherzinger’s future husband is though! Check it out on our YouTube channel. And join us for The Masked Singer, every Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.

‘Masked Singer’: Victor Oladipo on his time as Thingamajig, date with Nicole Scherzinger

Pacers guard Victor Oladipo denies being the Masked Singer Indianapolis Star

INDIANAPOLIS – Victor Oladipo is sorry for the lies. It might have been the only part of his saga with “The Masked Singer” he didn’t enjoy.

“There were full-blown debates with little kids and grown human beings about why it wasn’t me and why I don’t watch the show, so I apologize for anyone I lied to,” said the Pacers All-Star in his first interview with local media after he was eliminated from Fox’s celebrity singing competition last week. “I had no choice. I hope you guys will forgive me.

“You sign some NDAs, so you’re not really supposed to say much at all. So I’m not going to break that, but it was really hard.”

The birth of Oladipo’s character, Thingamajig, didn’t come to fruition until earlier this summer when he was living in Miami and working full-time on his injury rehab, when Fox reached out to his marketing representatives.

But as Oladipo explains, his answer was so easy because the idea had already been planted while he watched the show’s first season a year ago.

More: Victor Oladipo says he ‘loved every minute’ of being the Thingamajig on ‘Masked Singer’

“A year before, I was watching the show with one of my good friends from St. Louis, Alex Rich, and he told me I should be on the show,” Oladipo said. “A year later, the opportunity presented itself, and it was a no-brainer for me.”

Never one to be anything but his true, unabashed self – singing in the locker room, during 3-point shooting drills and all across his social media channels – Oladipo has long been known as a talented singer. One of his first viral moments came eight years ago as an Indiana University sophomore when he belted out Usher’s “U Got It Bad” with his teammates as backup dancers during the team’s Hoosier Hysteria preseason fan celebration.

Though the show appears to have provided the opportunity for future recording for the Pacers leader, that was never the point.

“At the end of the day, I was always told, ‘If you have a gift, you should share it,’ ’cause if you don’t, there’s no use to it,” he said. “Now people are talking about how they want more music, and that time will come when I can do that. But my first love is what I do every day, and I’m thankful for that.

“Music is kinda a hobby for me, but I enjoy making music and sharing it with the world.”

But don’t think Oladipo didn’t throw himself full-on into the TV show, which was filmed entirely during a busy stint in August, well before the Pacers began training camp or any sort of organized team activities.

He wouldn’t pick who he expects to win Wednesday’s final showdown – in part because even he doesn’t know the remaining characters’ identities, and also because his competitive fire left him inflamed he didn’t make it one show further.

“It was something new I’d never done before, but once I got the hang of it and kinda used to it, the competitive juices started flowing,” he said. “Unfortunately, I came up short.

“But for somebody that doesn’t do it every day, I think I did pretty good.”

Moments after the hysteria of Oladipo’s unveiling during last Wednesday’s show, attention went to his chemistry with one of the show’s judges, Nicole Scherzinger, a former singer with The Pussycat Dolls who has moved on to an extensive TV career.

The actress hadn’t been shy about her attraction to Oladipo’s character, and when he finally took off his mask, judge Jenny McCarthy asked if he would be up for a date.

“Of course,” he said at the time. “We can go anywhere, anytime, any place.”

But apparently, diving into the celebrity dating world isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Which is fine, Oladipo said. Basketball – his biggest love – is already occupying plenty of his time as he works toward making it back to playing in front of Pacers fans this season.

At least, if you can believe him.

“I haven’t gone on a date with Nicole,” he chuckled. “I don’t think she’s really interested after I took off the mask, unfortunately. Maybe if I walked around with the mask on, she’d be more interested. It’s unfortunate, but you never know what the future holds.

“Maybe it’ll change. I’ve got to post better pictures.”

Is Victor Oladipo Going On A Date With Nicole Scherzinger?

On Wednesday, Indiana Pacers star, Victor Oladipo was cut from the Fox’s Masked Singer. But, he may have scored a date with Judge–and Pussy Cat Dolls member– Nicole Scherzinger!

The masked singer is a competition show where celebrities go undercover to perform. With each performance, people are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. Each week, one singer will be eliminated and ultimately reveal their true identity.

Oladipo–who is currently sitting out the regular NBA season due to a knee injury– appeared on the anonymous singing show as the “Thingamajig.” Many people had guessed he was the mysterious character but he continued to deny it. Nicole and the character had been flirting all season, so it was only right when he revealed his identity that he shoot his shot.

When his identity was revealed, Jenny McCarthy asked if he was down for a date with Nicole. His response? “Of course, We can go anywhere, any time, any place.”

Hopefully we get a follow up on if the date actually happens!

Although The Masked Singer began is a singing competition and guessing game hybrid, it may be able to add another genre to its list: match making show. An it’s all thanks to judge Nicole Scherzinger and contestant Thingamajig, who was recently revealed to be NBA player Victor Oladipo.

Earlier in the season, Scherzinger fell hard for the basketball star’s sweet, croony voice and personality. During the Nov. 6 episode, Scherzinger told her fellow judge Jenny McCarthy, that Thingamajig is “just as sweet as pie.” McCarthy answered, “he’s meant for you,” to which Scherzinger said, “I think I’m gonna have to date him.”

And she just might. After Oladipo took his mask off an revealed the reason he wen ton the show, McCarthy asked the question that was on everyone’s mind: Are you gong to date Nicole. Oladipo wasn’t shy when it came to answering.

“We can go any where, any time, any place,” he said. Scherzinger didn’t respond right away, but maybe she’s saving her answer for when the cameras go away.

The two have connected many times over the season. Scherzinger’s big guess for the Thingamajig’s identity this week was retired NBA player Dennis Rodman, but that’s not the direction the fans have gone in. Most viewers think the Thingamajig is NBA player Victor Oladipo. One of the big clues that points to him is the “revealing item” that the Thingamajig brought to the Nov. 6 show. It was a book about sign language, which is a language Oladipo reportedly uses with his sister who is deaf. When Thingamajig revealed this his physical clue, a book about sign language, “taught me to communicate with others, which is the most important thingamajig,” Scherzinger’s heart literally melted. She even exclaimed, “That’s my husband, guys. That’s my husband right there.”

And the love it mutual. During his rendition of The Temptations’ “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” the Thingamajig seemed to be singing right to Scherzinger when he sang the line, “Please don’t leave me, girl,” and pointed to the judges’ table. “I’m not going anywhere, honey,” she answered. Their “romance” has become such a thing on the show that the series’ YouTube page made a video compilation of their interactions for National Boyfriend Day on Oct. 3.

The internet was clearly moved by Scherzinger and Oladipo’s love connection. After Oladipo’s elimination, fans were begging for the two to get together.

Obviously, just because we want something to happen doesn’t mean we will. But it would be a beautiful thing to see.

Will the Thingamajig and Nicole Scherzinger actually get together? After Scherzinger spent the majority of Season 2 of The Masked Singer flirting with Thingamajig — who was unmasked as NBA player Victor Oladipo — fans are wondering if anything will come from the showmance.

After telling Masked Singer host Nick Cannon that he’d go on a date with Scherzinger “anywhere, any time, any place,” Oldadipo told PEOPLE TV’s Reality Check on Thursday that he still hopes to go on a date with the Pussycat Dolls singer sometime soon.

“If I actually do, hopefully it’s in the near future if the moment or opportunity presents itself,” Oladipo, 27, said of going out with Scherzinger, 41, adding that his idea of the perfect date with her would be spent getting to know each other.

“If I did, I would just take her to wherever she wants to go because it would be all about her and me getting to know her, and obviously us getting to know one another,” he added.

The Indiana Pacers player said “it feels great” to take off his mask after making it to the semifinals of The Masked Singer, especially following a year filled with intense physical therapy and rehab after injuring his knee.

“It has been a rough year for me but to be able to come out here and put smiles on people’s faces and just do something fun for once and get away from the game has been awesome. It’s nothing but a blessing for me,” he said.

For Scherzinger’s part, it’s unclear if she’ll want to pursue a relationship outside of the reality show. Although she was spotted kissing former X Factor contestant Thom Evans this week, she did propose marriage to the Thingamajig earlier this season and joked constantly about him being her future husband.

After Oladipo was unmasked, Scherzinger tweeted, “It was such a pleasure to have you on the show ! Your voice is so incredible. Thank you for the 10 week show-mance!”

Oladipo wasn’t the only celebrity unmasked during Wednesday’s episode. Fans were shocked to see four-time Grammy winner Seal unmasked as the Leopard during the double elimination episode.

Many admitted to being fooled by the whimsical, flamboyant character Seal had committed to throughout the season; after all, most fans thought Leopard was Billy Porter or RuPaul.

“Really thought it was a drag queen. He had me really fooled,” one Facebook user wrote on PopCulture’s post about the Leopard.

“I thought it sounded like him , we all knew it did! But some of the songs he sang and the way he acted made me think it was Rupaul. I was wrong, no denying this guy’s voice lol!!!!” another said.

A special Tuesday episode revealed Saturday Night Live alum Ana Gasteyer as the Tree. The Season 2 finale of The Masked Singer airs Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Season 3 is set to premiere in February.

Nicole Scherzinger has made a big mark in the entertainment world. She was a member of the Pussycat Dolls (one of the best-selling girl groups of all time!) receiving many accolades for her time performing in the West End, and of course judged several talent shows, including both the US and UK versions of The X Factor and the American version of The Masked Singer.

But earlier this week, one Twitter user asked a very important question.

Nicole Scherzinger is one of the most talented women of our time…she doesn’t get enough credit, so here’s a thread of her most legendary moments:

— ?????? ✨ (@unluckytuck) January 5, 2019

How does someone with such strong superstar qualities as Nicole always seem to end up flying under the radar???

Seriously, when you take some time to take a closer look back at what she’s accomplished, you’ll be shocked that despite all of her talent and charisma, she’s not nearly as appreciated by the masses than she deserves to be!

Fortunately the user is here to help us remember and bask in the awe of Nicole and her many accomplishments, including but not limited to roller-skating stunts, discovering her puppetry skills on celebrity variety competition I Can Do That (which she went on to win) and nailing her routines on Dancing With the Stars (which she also won).

like…first of all I would never do this and second of all she pops a split midair…

— ?????? ✨ (@unluckytuck) January 5, 2019

avenue Q! wow that ending though ??✨

— ?????? ✨ (@unluckytuck) January 6, 2019

that time she went on dancing with the stars… and won ??

— ?????? ✨ (@unluckytuck) January 5, 2019

Nicole has done so many cool things in her career (and made even the most complex of them see effortless!) that even a twitter thread couldn’t cover it all. So here are a few more items on her list of accomplishments!

Her Own Music

Nicole was the clear breakout star from the Pussycat Dolls, and eventually went on to have a solo career. But her musical talents don’t stop at performance; she altered the hit song “Jai Ho” to its pop version, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”.

West End Stardom

Nicole starred as Grizabella in the London production of Cats, and went on to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards. What a voice!

Other Accolades

While she didn’t take home that aforementioned Olivier statue, Nicole has received several awards throughout her career, some of which include “Outstanding Achievement in Music” at the Asian Awards and “Artist Of The Year” by the Harvard foundation in 2013.

Putting It All Together

It felt like the stars aligned when Nicole was cast as Penny in the TV remake of Dirty Dancing, the perfect role to showcase her abilities! While the production itself received disastrous reviews, Nicole managed to escape practically unscathed, most likely being the one aspect of the show to rise above the rest of it in the eyes of critics and viewers alike.

Paying It Forward

In addition to all of the other projects she’s taken on over the years, Nicole serves as an ambassador for the Special Olympics and UNICEF. She’s even visited Guyana as part of her work with the latter!

In conclusion? We all need to stop sleeping on Nicole Scherzinger.

Seal says he participated for his four children and Heidi Klum.

“I thought that this would be a great opportunity to make them laugh and make myself laugh,” he said. It’s safe to say he thought right.

Thingamajig is Victor Oladipo and he’s not done flirting with judge Nicole Scherzinger

The Masked Singer audience knows judge Nicole Scherzinger has been flirting with Thingamajig all season long. On this week’s episode, Thingamajig was revealed to be none other than NBA star Victor Oladipo.

Now that he’s been eliminated, he doesn’t want the flirting to stop.

“If I actually do, hopefully it’s in the near future if the moment or opportunity presents itself,” he told PEOPLE TV’s Reality Check of taking Scherzinger out.

So what does he have up his sleeve? Whatever the Pussycat Dolls singer wants.

Like Seal, Oladipo says “it feels great” to have performed on The Masked Singer.

He also said it’s been a lot of fun.

“It has been a rough year for me but to be able to come out here and put smiles on people’s faces and just do something fun for once and get away from the game has been awesome. It’s nothing but a blessing for me,” he said.

Oladipo was able to go on The Masked Singer after being sidelined with a serious knee injury that took place in January.

“I don’t anticipate Victor being available for a while, and I don’t know what a while is,” Pacers coach Nate McMillian said in late September. “There’s no timetable. I haven’t had any information given to me that he will be practicing live anytime soon.”

We’re glad he got to do something fun during his recovery. We’ll have to wait and see if he gets a date out of his off-time, too.

The Masked Singer finale is next Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox where we’ll see the Flamingo, Rottweiler and Fox sing their hearts out.
