Judges americas got talent

The ‘AGT: The Champions’ judges’ table is welcoming someone new. Alesha Dixon has joined the cast as a new judge but she’s no stranger to the ‘Got Talent’ franchise.

Alesha Dixon, 41, is the new judge on AGT: The Champions. She’s sitting alongside America’s Got Talent vets Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum. Alesha will be making her AGT debut during the season 2 premiere of AGT: The Champions on Jan. 6. So, who is Alesha Dixon? HollywoodLife has rounded up 5 key things you need to know about her.

1. Alesha is known for being a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. She became a judge on the show in season 6. Alesha was a judge alongside Simon so they’ve worked together before. The hit series recently finished up its thirteenth season, so it was perfect timing for AGT: The Champions. Alesha is going to be a fresh and fun addition to the AGT judges’ table!

2. Alesha is a singer! Alesha has a lot of vocal talent. She has released 4 studio albums over the course of her solo career. Her first album was released in 2006. Her latest album, Do It For Love, dropped in 2015.

3. She has won a competition series herself. Alesha won Strictly Come Dancing, a dancing competition series, in 2007. She went on to become a judge on the show in season 7. Alesha later left the show to become a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

4. Alesha was part of a girl group. The singer got her start in 2005 as part of an all-female trio called Mis-Teeq. The group went their separate ways in 2005 and Alesha went on to start her solo career.

5. Alesha is very taken and has a baby! She has been with her longtime partner, professional dancer Azuka Ononye, for a number of years now. They have one child together, Azura, who was born in 2013.

It may be hard to believe, but America’s Got Talent judges like Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Mel B weren’t always famous. They started out as relative unknowns just like the contestants they critique on the show. But have you ever seen any of them before they found success?

From game shows to catwalks, the internet has videos of just about all the AGT judges (past, present, and future) before they were famous. We did the work for you and put them all in one place to enjoy. Look how young everyone was!

1. Heidi Klum

In 1997, model Heidi Klum walked in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She was 21 years old. Heidi would go on to model for the brand for 13 years. “I will always love Victoria and never tell her secret,” she said when she left.

2. Simon Cowell

You’re used to seeing Simon Cowell in the judge’s seat, but at one point he was actually a game show contestant. He appeared on the UK version of Sale of the Century back in the day. Turns out, he’s pretty good at trivia. (Also check out his T-shirt-clad appearance on the show Right to Reply.)

3. Mel B

We all know Mel B was in the Spice Girls, but have you ever seen her audition for the group? Check out the above video of her singing Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All” for a chance to be a pop star. It worked out for her, as she ended up becoming Scary Spice.

4. Howie Mandel

You’ve seen Howie judge AGT and host Deal or No Deal, but have you ever seen his early stand-up comedy? Here he is on The 6th Annual Young Comedians Show in 1981. One commenter on the video suggested that
“on AGT this would have got voted off by Howie Mandel himself.”

5. David Hasselhoff

Before he was an AGT judge, the Hoff appeared on shows like Knight Rider and Baywatch. But before that, he was modeling costumes for the 1976 film Logan’s Run. Skip to 2:00 in the above behind-the-scenes video to see for yourself.

6. Howard Stern

You might not recognize shock jock Howard Stern in the above video from the ’80s. Watch him host his morning show in the Washington, D.C., area, with help from longtime co-host Robin Quivers.

7. Sharon Osbourne

Before she married Ozzy Osbourne in 1982, Sharon was his manager, helping to launch his solo career. In the above 1981 interview, she says of Ozzy, “He is the most romantic man I’ve ever met in my life.”

8. Brandy Norwood

Before her self-titled debut album was released in 1994, Brandy appeared on a short-lived sitcom called Thea. In the above video, teenage Brandy can be seen performing Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” on the show.

9. Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle was recently announced as a new judge on America’s Got Talent for the upcoming season. Before landing her big break in Bring It On, the actress appeared in other teen movies in the late ’90s, including 10 Things I Hate About You. Check out her role at 1:00 in the above clip.

10. Julianne Hough

Julianne is another new judge for next season. The Dancing With the Stars alum has been dancing from a young age. In the above video, a young Julianne performs with her brother Derek and fellow DWTS pro Mark Ballas.

Julianne Hough has never ‘felt more like myself’ until she revealed she’s ‘not straight’

2019 has been a freeing year for Julianne Hough.

In August, the dancing/acting/singing triple threat opened up about her self-discovery in Women’s Health’s “Naked Strength” issue, revealing that she’s “not straight.”

However, the former “America’s Got Talent” judge, who tied the knot to hockey player Brooks Laich in 2017, didn’t label her sexuality. She now says that was intentional.

“It was all about de-layering and that’s why I did that (Women’s Health) cover because it was the naked strength issue,” Hough, 31, told People Now on Tuesday. “I felt more myself in that moment than I ever have.”

In the Women’s Health issue, Hough revealed that she underwent a “massive transformation” months after her wedding to Laich and connected to her truest self.

On Tuesday, Hough explained that the “not straight” comment “was basically to say I love everyone. I’ve never been a fan of labels, I don’t identify that way and so, for me, it’s just about love.”

She described the headline-making revelation as “one of the highlights of my career.”

“It was not shameful, which in the past, probably would have been riddled with that,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum said. “And it was just beautiful.”

Hough continued: “That expression, for me, I just want every human to feel that way. That, like, they are perfect and beautiful and who they are is enough and, just, I love people. I love love, I love people, and I just want everybody to feel that.”

Her brother, Derek Hough, said he “knew exactly what she meant,” adding that people “hold onto a word or to a symbol…and created a small box” around Hough’s comments when they were intended to be freeing.

The Hough siblings are making rounds to promote their upcoming Christmas special “Holidays with the Houghs,” which will premiere on Monday on NBC, the same network that Hough served one season on as an “America’s Got Talent” judge before her exit in November.

Julianne Hough and Hubby Brooks Laich Mourn the Loss of Both Their Dogs in One Day

It is with the heaviest heart that I share with you the passing of our beloved dogs Lexi and Harley. Their tragic passing has left my wife and I heartbroken. Lexi and Harley were not just pets to us, they were our children, and we loved them as such. They were the purest example of love that I have ever seen. They showed me that true love did exist in the world. The way they loved their mom @juleshough and the way she loved them back was the first time I knew that there was hope for me to have love in my life. And they accepted me into their little family, and helped me become a dad for the first time. The past 2 weeks have been filled with tears of sorrow, and tears of joy. The immense pain we feel by their loss is due to the overwhelming love we had for them. Every single beautiful part of them will be missed, but we trust that they are in a better place now, and can still feel their presence in our hearts. I want to thank the many people who have helped see us through the past 2 weeks. The outpouring of love and support we have received from our family and friends has helped heal our hearts. I am eternally grateful for everyone who has held space for my wife and I to grieve and mourn. There are too many names to list, but you all know who you are, and know that we couldn’t have made it through this without each and everyone of you. In the most sincere way possible, thank you very much. Thank you to @kristysowin, @derekhough, and @camilaforeroo for going above and beyond what we could ever imagine asking of you. There simply are no words to express our gratitude, we love you deeply and are so grateful for you. Thank you to my wife for allowing me to share in their world, and trusting me to be their dad. I wasn’t perfect, but I loved them with every ounce of my heart. And thank you Lexi and Harley, for teaching me grace, softening my heart, and showing me love. You are perfect, and may you Rest In Peace. ❤️🐶🐼🐺💑❤️
