The Great British Bake Off will get the celebrity treatment once more as stars from across the worlds of acting, comedy, entertainment and sport come together to do their bit in the fight against cancer. Competing against each other in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer they will be showing off their baking prowess – or lack of – in a bid to be awarded the coveted Star Baker apron.

The five-part series will air on Channel 4 in 2020 and the famous faces lining up in the equally famous tent are Oscar winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, documentary maker Louis Theroux, British tennis number one Johanna Konta, TV presenter Carol Vorderman, Queer Eye’s resident fashionista Tan France, singer songwriter James Blunt, actress and TV presenter Caroline Quentin, presenter Alex Jones, TV judge Rob Rinder, TV personality Scarlett Moffatt, comedian Mo Gilligan, radio and TV presenter Kelly Brook, This Morning’s Alison Hammond, Love Island favourite and sports personality Ovie Soko, former EastEnders actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, YouTuber and West End star Joe Sugg, comedian Joel Dommett, actor James Buckley, comedian Russell Howard and comedian and author Jenny Eclair.

Each episode will see four celebrities battle it out over three rounds – the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper – in a bid to be crowned Star Baker. Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will be ever present to meticulously judge each bake, be they delicious delights or devastating disasters and Bake Off hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be on hand to provide tea and sympathy for the celebrity bakers as they go head to head in the pressure-filled tent.

Since its launch in the UK in 2012, the RTS award-winning and BAFTA nominated Stand Up To Cancer, the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, has raised over £62 million to date funding 52 clinical trials and projects involving 11,000 cancer patients across the country.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer was commissioned by Sarah Lazenby, Head of Formats and Features at Channel 4. It is a Love Productions series and the Executive Producers are Richard McKerrow, Letty Kavanagh and Kieran Smith.

When is The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer on TV? Which celebrities are appearing?

Over the years, the celebrity edition of the Great British Bake Off has gifted us with many great TV moments – who could forget the disastrous appearances of Jonathan Ross and Nick Hewer, or John Lithgow’s failed attempt at a Swiss roll?

And Channel 4 has now unveiled a brand-new batch of celebrities set to make a one-off appearance in the nation’s favourite tent in aid of Stand Up to Cancer – with some impressive names among them.

When will The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer be on TV?

We don’t have an exact date for the series yet, but the five-part series will air at some point in early 2020 on Channel 4.

Based on last year’s dates, it seems likely that we can expect the first of the episodes to be broadcast in early March – with the four remaining episodes to be broadcast in subsequent consecutive weeks.

Who is hosting the The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer?

As with the regular series, Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding will be on hand to provide some light-hearted banter and a tray load of baking puns.

The usual judging line-up of Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith also return to run the rule over the baking skills of the famous guests.

Which celebrities have been lined up?

Great British Bake Off has an excellent track record for attracting a good mix of names from the worlds of TV, film, sport and comedy to appear on the show – and there’s no difference this time round.

Amongst the biggest names putting their cake-making abilities to the test in 2020 are Oscar winning actor and Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss, British tennis number one and three-time Grand Slam semi-finalist Johanna Konta, and the acclaimed documentary maker Louis Theroux.

Other TV favourites set to appear in the tent include Queer Eye fashionista Tan France, This Morning favourite Alison Hammond and former Strictly runner-up Joe Sugg.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off is returning to our screens this year and the 2020 star-studded line-up had just been revealed!

Stars from across comedy, entertainment and sports will come together in a bid to be crowned Star Baker and raise awareness and money for charity Stand Up to Cancer.

In each episode, four of the celebrities will tackle Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenges, all under the watchful eyes of Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. On hand to offer encouragement (and consolation) will be the ever-distracting Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

When does the Celebrity Bake Off 2020 start?

Channel 4 have yet to announce the show’s start time.

However they did release a video on Twitter stating the show would be returning in 2020, but a date has yet to be announced.

The judges on the previous two series Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return and Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will host the show once again.

Who is in the line-up?

This year’s batch of celeb bakers entering the tent will include documentarian Louis Theroux, This Morning’s Alison Hammond and The One Show’s Alex Jones.

Joining them will be I’m a Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt and her former Extra Camp co-host and The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, Strictly Come Dancing’s and YouTuber Joe Sugg and EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.

Also entering the tent this year will be Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss, tennis star Johanna Konta, TV legend Carol Vorderman and Queer Eye’s Tan France.

That’s not all as singer James Blunt, Judge Rinder, Jonathan Creek’s Caroline Quentin, comedian Mo Gilligan and model Kelly Brook will step up to the bake Off challenge.

To top it all off, Love Island’s Ovie Soko, The Inbetweeners’ James Buckley, comic Russell Howard and author Jenny Eclair will attempt to wow the judges with their culinary skills.
