Andrei and Elizabeth (TLC)

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’s Elizabeth Potthast, 28, and Andrei Castravet, 32, met on a social app while on a trip to Dublin in 2016. Elizabeth is from Tampa, Florida, and Andrei is from the Eastern European country of Moldova. Andrei eventually relocated to the U.S., where he and Elizabeth married and had their first child, daughter Eleanor.

But all hasn’t been smooth sailing. Elizabeth’s father helped set the couple up with rent-free housing while Andrei tried to find fulltime employment, which it isn’t clear if he has yet accomplished. Needless to say, there has been a lot of friction between Andrei and his in-laws.

“Family is always going to be involved in our lives, but to get closer to them, I don’t know if we got closer,” Andrei tells Parade.com in this exclusive interview when asked if the baby has helped unite them. “It’s just like ups and downs all the time. There’s going to be always people who are going to stick their noses in your stuff. So, you’re not going to run away from that, and I have to handle that, because it’s her family, and I’ll do what I have to do.”

That said, Elizabeth is standing by her man. When first interviewed for 90 Day Fiancé about the reason she was with Andrei, she explained that it was because he treated her better than other men she has dated. It is hard to tell from watching the show, but Elizabeth defends him, saying he is actually a very sweet and charismatic guy.

“He is very charming, but I think he comes off a little abrupt, and that’s what the camera picks up,” she says. “I think it’s just all show, to be honest with you. I think he’s just putting on a show. At home, he is the sweetest guy, and, I think, that he wants to appear to be this macho man, so people will take him more seriously, but he’s a little different at home. So…we’ll leave it at that.”

Marrying Millions Bill and Brianna on Why Their Relationship is a Success Despite the 40-Year Age Gap

Do you think that some of the difficulties that you have or misunderstandings are cultural? For example, Andrei said, he wasn’t going to change diapers because that’s women’s work, and most American men have gotten past that. So, talk to me about how much you think is cultural, and how much is that men are from Mars and women are from Venus.

Elizabeth: By the way, that changed very quickly, as I knew it would. He was actually the first person to change Eleanor’s diaper. So, that’s how I knew he was just putting on this front. Like, “Oh, I’m not going to do this, I’m not going to do that.” I’m like, “Yeah, sure, we’ll see.” So, he definitely changes her diapers, but yes, I do believe that that’s a cultural thing, in the sense that where he’s from, it’s still very traditional and men are seen as higher than women.

So, how is life with your new baby? How old is she now?

Andrei: Life is amazing with a child.

Elizabeth: She’s almost 6 months.

Andrei: Being parents is the most amazing thing. Like, one more reason to live. Because when you look at the child, it’s just like, this is what you live for right now. So, that’s cool.

So, Andrei, how is Elizabeth as a mom? Is she different than your mom was with you?

Andrei: Elizabeth is doing a great job. She’s amazing. She’s waking up at night. She doesn’t complain. She’s changing diapers at night. She doesn’t wake me up if I have something to do the next day. She loves Elly a lot. She’s a great mom.

Elizabeth and Andrei celebrate with family at gender reveal party (TLC)

Is there a custom or tradition from Moldova that you plan to pass along to Eleanor?

Andrei: Well, obviously, I’m going to pass everything that I got from Moldova to my new family. I’m speaking to her only in my language, and she’s going to learn two languages automatically, and after this, I’m going to teach her Russian. I just want her to know everything that I know. So, she’s going to speak multiple languages straight away, and that’s cool.

And, obviously, our traditions. We celebrate Christmas on January 7th, and over here they celebrate it on December 25th, so I’m going to celebrate it two times, because that’s my culture and I’m not going to forget about it.

Is that because it’s Eastern Orthodox, and the calendar is different?

Andrei: Yes. Yes. That’s how we do it there. Both are very different.

You decided that you were going to be full-time handyman. How is that going? Because Elizabeth’s dad was talking about cutting you guys off fiancially. So, are things going good for you in terms of work?

Andrei: I’m going to say this: I can handle everything. You’ll just have to watch and see what’s going to happen, but I can handle everything. Chuck is always, as I said, sticking his nose into my stuff, and asking a lot of questions, but I’m doing fine. I’m not going to complain. Life is good.

What is the upside to sharing your life on TV, and then what is the downside?

Andrei: Obviously, I’ve been introduced to this three years already, and it’s a new thing for me. It’s enjoyable some moments, because you have people hanging around, and you get to share your journey because it’s interesting. It’s an unusual journey, because not everybody goes through stuff like visas and the immigration process, and so on, but the downside of it is you get a lot of trash from haters. We don’t care about that. You just have to keep that attitude, you don’t care and that’s what matters.

Elizabeth: So, I would say, definitely, just being able to share our journey. Initially, when I first wanted to do the show, it was because I wanted to show people that it is possible to have a long-distance relationship, and it’s possible to make it work despite maybe the families clashing and butting heads at times. People do go through that. So, I think it can be relatable for some people.

Andrei: It’s just real life.

Elizabeth gets her sonogram with Andrei (TLC)

Elizabeth: But in terms of the negatives, I would say it’s people thinking that they have the entire story all set up in their mind, and they don’t. They are quick to judge, and they sometimes say nasty things, but we definitely take that with a grain of salt, and we don’t worry about it, and we don’t let it bother us.

Andrei: I just want to add one thing. I became a vampire because I’m feeding off the negative energy what the people are sending to us. So, I’m enjoying that.

Andrei, what should a person coming to the U.S. on a 90-day visa be prepared for? What was that experience like for you when you first got here?

Andrei: The equation is pretty simple. So, you have to have a lot of patience. You have to come here with good thoughts. Don’t be fraudulent. A lot of people are by statistics. You just have to trust the process, and have patience, patience, and a lot of patience.

Elizabeth, what advice would you give to someone who falls in love with someone in another country and wants to bring them here?

Elizabeth: I would say, make sure that the intentions are true, and that it’s someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, because once you’re in it, you’re in it for good. If you’re not, it makes others look bad, and puts a stigma on the whole visa process in general. So, I would say make sure that it’s something you’re definitely wanting to do, have a plan, and stick to the plan. Also, as Andrei was saying about patience, with Immigration, you never know what’s going to happen. So, you have to be ready to wait a year, if it’s going to take a year.

Have you met any of the other couples on the show? Do you maybe interact with any of them?

Elizabeth: Yes. We’ve met several of them. As far as who we speak to, I talk to Nicole sometimes. She lives in Bradenton, which is just 45 minutes from Tampa, where we are, and I talk to Chantel sometimes, and David and Annie. I would say David and Annie we keep in touch with the most.

Andrei: I don’t.

Elizabeth: Well, I do, anyway.

What do you talk about?

Elizabeth: We’ll laugh about funny taglines on the show that somebody might say. We don’t speak ill of anybody, because we understand everybody’s situation is different, so there’s no reason to judge. It’s always positive. It’s always laughing and being silly and relating to things.

Andrei: Sometimes it very hard to find a common subject to speak to those people.

Elizabeth talk to her dad (TLC)

Do you ever sit down and watch the episodes together and talk about how you’re presented?

Elizabeth: We watch it every moment we can. Whenever…

Andrei: And we eat a lot of popcorn.

Elizabeth: You don’t eat popcorn. What are you talking about?

Andrei: A lot of popcorn, a lot of Diet Coke so I don’t get fat.

Elizabeth: When it’s airing, and we’re seeing how it all plays out, we just think back to that moment when the cameras were on us, and we’re like, “Wow, we must have been in a bad mood.” You never know how your mood is going to be that day. So, you’re caught at that perfect moment, and then people take it and they run with it.

You joined in season five, so, the show had already been on the air. How did they convince you to do it?

Elizabeth: Honestly, I knew going into it that every couple was different, and the only thing we had in common was the K-1 visa. I knew that there would be tons of different scenarios and that we might be alongside some crazy people, but it’s something enjoyable, nonetheless.

Andrei: I think it’s good to show what happens in real life. We have to develop our story further and that’s what why we’re doing it.

Elizabeth: Yeah. I think there’s a lot that’s left to be said for people to understand further.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.

90 Day Fiance couple, Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet often end up with haters. They criticize them on their social media accounts, a lot. However, fans of the couple think it’s because TLC portrays him as a “villain.” Sometimes, he comes across as very controlling and “rude all the time.” However, Elizabeth says he’s a bit misunderstood, TV Shows Ace reported. Now, looking at their lovely family photos they shared for July 4, they all look very happy together.

90 Day Fiance‘s Elizabeth Potthast shared video on Instagram

Apart from posting a photo that showed a very happy family, Elizabeth also shared quite a lot of video clips of the family enjoying their Independence Day. Andrei looked particularly happy and some of the clips showed him dancing by himself. Others showed him dancing with the kids. Plus, Andrei grinned and said the best thing about American food is the steak.

It really looks like Andrei can lighten up, loosen up and be friendly and fun company off the show. That’s nice for Elizabeth and her family. Importantly, it’s nice for their little girl. Fans of 90 Day Fiance know they welcomed their baby girl in January. US Weekly noted that they named their baby Eleanor Louise.

The news outlet reported about the statement the couple gave after Elinor’s birth. They said, “This is such joyful and amazing moment for us. We have never felt this rewarded in our lives and we are looking forward to our bright future as a family of three. Thank you so much to our fans for their continued support and love during our journey.” And, yes, they garnered many 90 Day Fiance fans who love and support them.

The photo that Elizabeth shared for July 4 showed their little girl between the two of them. The family’s dressed in the colors of the Star and Stripes. Little Eleanor looks so cute with a headband on and big lipstick kiss on her cheek. Dad Andrei’s giving his daughter a kiss on the other cheek. It’s a nice, normal, happy family day photo.

Things aren’t easy for Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet during Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Andrei has continued to fight with his in-laws—even at the baby shower for his daughter. They also fight about Andrei not working. Has the family drama and financial strain led for Elizabeth and Andrei to split?

Despite the turmoil on Happily Ever After, Elizabeth and Andrei are still together. They recently celebrated Andrei’s first Father’s Day, posting family pictures with their daughter, Eleanor.

Elizabeth has seemingly been helping the family make money through promotional ads on Instagram. Most recently, she hocked Smile Love on Friday.

“When I was younger, I really wanted braces. It seemed like almost everybody had them and it was the popular thing to do. Changing your braces color to match the holidays or your outfit. It was so in. Well, I never got to experience that. I’m actually glad though because now I’ve found Smilelove! My teeth will be perfectly straight just as I’ve always envisioned them to be! Plus, no fussing with icky wire braces or timely dentist visits! My smile just got a whole lot bigger.”

According to In Touch Weekly, Andrei is a new business owner. He and Elizabeth have apparently created their own real estate company under Castravet Properties, LLC. Andrei is the president and Elizabeth is the vice president. It was started in October 2018, which is three months before their daughter was born. It’s might seem like a diss to Elizabeth’s father, Chuck, who also runs his own real estate company in Florida, where the family lives.

Things aren’t easy for Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet during Season 4 of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.” Andrei has continued to fight with his in-laws—even at the baby shower for his daughter. They also fight about Andrei not working. Has the family drama and financial strain led for Elizabeth and Andrei to split?

Andrei has clashed with Chuck this season, not wanting to accept a job from him even though he’s unemployed. Further, Andrei refused to thank his father-in-law or paying his rent or allowing him to live rent-free in one of his investment properties.

Andrei is arguably one of the villains of Season 4, but he hasn’t addressed any of the backlash on social media. Instead, he shared a picture of himself enjoying a pool day. “Jumping hard into the weekend—working hard on my cannonballs,” he wrote on Friday.

To find out what happens next, don’t miss Sunday’s 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.

When GoodHousekeeping.com got on the phone with Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet to talk about season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, both warned fans to buckle up and “get the popcorn ready.”

A few episodes in, and it’s already easy to see why. The show is currently documenting Elizabeth’s pregnancy and how it’s causing some drama between her family and Andrei. Case in point is a new sneak peek clip where Elizabeth’s father labels the pregnancy “irresponsible.”

While it’s been a constant uphill battle trying to get Elizabeth’s family on board with Andrei (and vice versa), the couple tells us that they’re still living together in Florida and taking it “day by day.” Not to mention, their little bundle of joy has arrived!

Where Andrei and Elizabeth are at now:

Fans who follow Andrei and Elizabeth on Instagram know that the pair welcomed daughter Eleanor Louise Castravet into the world in January 2019. According to Elizabeth, she’s “growing so much every day” and even starting to talk.

“She’s really smart. She giggles … she’s like a bean sprout and is so big now,” Elizabeth gushes about her baby girl. Andrei agrees, adding that the birth of his daughter has changed him in a powerful way.

“When I see her, I have one more reason to live … when you just look at her face you go, ‘That’s what I live for now,'” Andrei says.

In terms of their dynamic, both Elizabeth and Andrei say that it’s been more challenging in recent months as they continue to adjust to life as new parents.

“It’s definitely gotten more serious, and we’re a bit more stressed out and there’s a bit more tension because we know we have this huge responsibility, and we both want to make sure that we’re doing it 100% right,” Elizabeth explains.

Andrei, on the other hand, says he must constantly reassure Elizabeth that everything is going to be okay.

“I know everything’s fine, and I have to convince her all the time to trust the process.”

But what about the tension between Elizabeth’s family and Andrei?

Besides navigating the ever-tricky world of parenting, Andrei hints that he’s still struggling to get along with his wife’s family. Even though Elizabeth says that she feels the birth of Eleanor has brought everyone together a bit more, Andrei thinks otherwise.

“I don’t think people in this family even notice. I don’t see any difference,” he admits.

Elizabeth shares that while filming season 4 of Happily Ever After?, dealing with the drama between her husband and parents was the most challenging part — even more difficult than giving birth.

“Maybe I would not defend Andrei’s side as much and take what my family has to say into consideration,” Elizabeth says looking back on the season. “I have learned to speak up more, too, though.”

All in all, the couple has lots to look forward to in the months to come.

As for what’s ahead for Andrei and Elizabeth, the pair says that they are planning a trip to Moldova, where Andrei is from. There, they reportedly are planning on having a separate wedding ceremony.

Despite Elizabeth’s dad’s reservations about having another celebration, Andrei makes it clear that he and Elizabeth are focused on what they want to do.

“The reality is, we’re living and developing our relationship, everybody decides us comes second.”

’90 Day Fiancé’: Which Cast Member Revealed Their “Abusive Relationship” At the Tell-All Part 2?

TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All Part 2 on Oct. 28, hosted by Shaun Robinson, was nothing short of explosive. Caesar Mack finally met up via video chat with his absentee Ukrainian girlfriend, Maria, and his fellow cast members tried desperately to talk him out of sending the suspected scammer any more money.

Meanwhile, the surprise appearance of Darcey Silva’s ex Jesse Meester from a previous season of 90 Day Fiancé sparked a castwide conflict, with Angela Deem at the center. The fight led to a heartbreaking revelation by one cast member, who revealed that Meester reminded her of a prior allegedly abusive partner.

Jesse Meester showed up and caused conflict among the cast

Darcey Silva appeared on the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All Part 2 with her British boyfriend Tom Brooks, who was in town for a short visit. Brooks shared with Robinson that he felt Silva was still affected by her toxic relationship with Meester.

For his part, Meester claimed that Silva was the one who was toxic towards him and continued to contact him long after their breakup.

Silva’s 90 Day Fiancé castmates weren’t happy about Meester’s appearance in the green room.

Tim Malcolm turned to Avery Mills to tell her that Meester was bad news. “Jesse just trashed Darcey online, like, four or five days ago,” he said. “Jesse was just looking for problems,” Mills agreed of his motives for showing up.

Avery Mills and Tim Malcolm pushed back against Meester’s arrival among the cast

In protest of his appearance on the show, Mills and Malcolm refused to shake Meester’s hand when he entered the green room.

“Why are you here?” Mills asked him. Meester insisted that he was only at the reunion to talk about his “personal journey,” not to embarrass his ex-girlfriend. “I’m not going up with her, I’m just going up separate.”

“I’m not trying to judge you off of that, because I don’t know you in person. But from what I’ve seen, you manipulated her,” Mills pushed back. Malcolm agreed, suggesting that the former 90 Day Fiancé cast member was only making a guest appearance to interfere with Silva’s new relationship.

But Meester defended himself, insisting: “I’m not talking about her, she talks about me.”

Meester’s appearance sparked a fight between Angela Deem and the rest of the cast

Angela Deem stepped into the fray, angry about what she saw as her castmates’ harsh treatment of Meester. Calling them “bullies,” she yelled, “I’m not going to sit here and watch y’all jump this man because at the end of the day, you don’t know what he’s going through.”

She later escalated the conflict by swearing at Mills and Malcolm, as well as yelling at castmate Rebecca Parrott, whom she attempted to physically confront. Parrott stayed calm and asked her to back down.

Mills revealed her previous “abusive relationship”

After her confrontation with Deem, Mills revealed that Meester reminded her of an ex who manipulated her.

The 19-year-old from Ohio, who recently converted to Islam and is now married to her Syrian partner Omar Albakour, got emotional as she told her fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast members that she had been through an “abusive relationship” in the past and that Meester’s behavior brought what she’d been through to mind.

Mills told Silva that she felt an affinity with her because of what she saw as her “manipulation” by Meester. The young cast member also admitted that, while she might have been harsh with Silva’s ex, she stood by what she said and wanted to stand up for other women who may have been mistreated.

“When I went through it, no one believed me,” said Mills of the abuse she says she suffered.

Over the top! Andrei got too rough with Elizabeth during a fight which freaked her out during the Sunday, June 8, episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, leaving the entire family at each others’ throats. Here’s what you might have missed during this week’s episode below!

Andrei Scared Elizabeth With Fight

Andrei still was completely unemployed which made Elizabeth’s family upset. When he went to talk to Elizabeth’s dad to refuse a job offer from him, it ended in a fight.

“I don’t want you telling me what to do. … I don’t want you as my boss,” he said. “As just a matter of principle, I’m not going to work for .”

Then, Elizabeth got into a fight with her sisters about Andrei’s disagreement with their dad. This led to her storming off and arguing with Andrei in the car about all the fighting. He ended up snatching her phone out of her hand, which was too far for her.

“I think that Andrei definitely is a little possessive at times, but right now I literally saw a side of him that’s not OK,” Elizabeth said.

Debbie Threatens to Move Out

Colt and Larissa went back to fighting, which meant Colt’s mom, Debbie, one again, began heavily involved.

“You are a pu–y … I will make the shirt , ‘My husband is a pussy,’” Larissa said to Colt about still living with Debbie. “I’m not happy to live with Debbie because I can’t be Colt’s wife.”

It got so bad that Debbie even decided she’s dead serious about moving out.

“You guys don’t want me here,” Debbie said. “I’m too old. I can’t do this. It’s not worth it.”

Chantel Goes Head to Head With Pedro’s Mom

Chantel went to the Dominican Republic to go after Pedro and figure out the state of her marriage. He surprisingly picked her up from the airport with flowers and a balloon but that doesn’t mean he was happy to see her.

“Even though I am disappointed with Chantel that she’s coming, I want her to know that I love her anyways,” he said.

Then, she went to confront his mom for the first time since the fight. His mom blamed her family and said she was unhappy Chantel showed up, which set Chantel off.

“I’m not saying it’s Pedro’s fault or that my brother doesn’t have fault, but what I’m saying to you now is that your kids are not innocent. My family are not innocent either and neither are you,” she said, which Pedro’s mom felt was disrespectful. It definitely didn’t fix anything.

Ashley Spills Jay’s Drama to His Sister

Jay’s sister, niece and brother went to the U.S. to visit him for the holidays. Jay was excited about the trip, and he was actually happy for the first time in months. However, Jay’s sister needed to be filled in on all the cheating drama with Jay.

“Jay told me about what he did with him texting girls … and I think Jay definitely messed up but it’s texting, it’s not that serious; it’s not like they met physically. I just hope it’s something they can work through,” his sister said.

However, when Ashley gave her the full story, she was shocked. She said that Jay spread lies to a girl on the app, lied about his location and got caught, sexted with a girl and more.

“What Jay did is a lot worse than what he told me, and I think she has all the right to be upset. He’s acting like the Jay he used to be back in Jamaica,” his sister said.

Nicole’s Family Doesn’t Support Her

After Nicole and Azan’s trip to Grenada got canceled at the last minute, she was back to square one to save money to go see her fiancé in Morocco. This was very suspicious to her family, who also were on edge after receiving a suspicious email from someone in Morocco saying Azan was using Nicole.

“I’m not talking about something stupid like this. It’s not real,” Nicole said. “People online don’t have any good intentions. I don’t believe anything they say.”

Her family thought the entire situation was a mess and that she’d never get married, but Nicole fought them about her relationship.

“Nicole will defend Azam, probably with her last breath,” her mom said about the situation.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After couple Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet are expecting a baby girl. But it seems not everyone is exactly thrilled about it. Elizabeth’s dad, Chuck Potthast, flat-out tells her it’s irresponsible. Certainly he’s not happy that Andrei came to America and “knocked her up”. And furthermore that he has no job and no plan. Elizabeth’s father is also allowing them to live rent free in one of his rental properties.

Chuck Potthast Calls Out Andrei Castravet for Knocking up His Daughter

The couple first appeared on 90 Day Fiance season 5. Elizabeth’s family were not supportive. They found Andrei Castravet domineering. Her Dad especially was not a fan. He questioned how Andrei Castravet would provide for his daughter. Tensions remain high between the two. Her dad often makes comments to Andrei about what he’s going to do to make money. And points out that her sisters all drive luxury cars and live in mansions.

In the current season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After things are even more complicated. Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast are expecting. And find out that it’s a baby girl. Elizabeth’s mom throws a gender reveal party. Her dad gets several digs in. Andrei tells him he plans to step up and take care of things. He has competed truck driving school but still has no job. Elizabeth Potthast’s dad is doubtful.

Over iced tea in a cafe Chuck tells his daughter Elizabeth how he really feels. That getting pregnant was irresponsible. Elizabeth Potthast asks him if this is about him or them. He points out that it does involve him since it seems like he is supporting them. Of course he give them a free house to live in. They complained that the apartment was too small for the growing family and two dogs.

Here’s my issue with Elizabeth’s father, either you help or you don’t, but you don’t get to help and throw that in your son-in-law’s face every time you see him. #90DayFiance

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After – The Grass Isn’t Greener For Elizabeth Potthast & Andrei

Elizabeth’ father feels disappointed. After all, he gave them a home rent free. He wants the home maintained. He doesn’t feel they are keeping up their end of the deal. The grass wasn’t cut the last time he checked. Elizabeth explains it was hot and rainy. He questions why they couldn’t spend 150 dollars on a lawn mower. She says it would be that or groceries for the week. It certainly sounds like they are on a tight budget.

On 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Elizabeth Potthast’s father is frustrated with Andrei and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is also frustrated at her dads guilt tripping and trying to dictate their every move. Seems like her whole family doesn’t like Andrei. Hence, her sisters are always putting him down. In the sit down with her dad, Elizabeth Potthast certainly comes off as defensive. Previews from the season show Andrei Castravet erupting at her in a car and her telling him to shut up.

It seems time will tell if this family can put aside their differences. Moreover on a brighter note Elizabeth and Andrei delivered a baby girl Eleanor Louise Castravet in January. Tune into 90 day Fiance: Happily Ever After on TLC Sunday nights to follow their journey.

Are Elizabeth And Andrei Still Together? New Details On The ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’ Couple And Where They Are Now

Floridian Elizabeth married Moldovan Andrei on TLC. Are they still together?

Fans of TLC’s 90 Dy Fiancé were captivated by the story of Elizabeth and Andrei, an American woman and her Moldovan fiancé. The pair met online shortly before Elizabeth had planned a trip to Ireland, where Andrei was living at the time. She had been looking for people to hang out with when she was abroad and they connected both in virtual space and in real life. Their relationship was long distance for some time before getting engaged and beginning the K1 visa process so Andrei could come to the United States.

But what should have been a fairly straightforward romance was complicated by Elizabeth’s close-knit family and the tension their presence in Elizabeth’s life caused Andrei. Now the pair is married with a baby but the series 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Every After is revealing to audiences that her family is just as much a part of their marriage as ever.

Are Elizabeth and Andrei still together? Read on to find out.

1. Controlling

Elizabeth is from Florida and lives in the same area as her parents and her sisters, all of whom are older than she is. She’s extremely close to her family and is used to spending a lot of time with all of them and keeping them involved in her life. When she got involved with Andrei, she shared with them that his culture has more conservative views about marriage than American culture and that he was expecting to be the more authoritative figure in their relationship. Her sisters immediately balked at the idea of someone trying to control Elizabeth. But while Andrei did seem to want to keep tabs on his fianceé, the sisters weren’t any better—they tried to exert their own influence on her. They stirred up drama by doing things like taking Elizabeth’s phone so she couldn’t contact Andrei during her bachelorette weekend and continually second-guessing Andrei’s motives for marrying her.

2. Finances

To make matters worse, Elizabeth’s income came from working for her father. He is a commercial property owner and he hired his youngest daughter to work as a property manager for his company. Once Andrei arrived, he wasn’t allowed to work until he got his green card so Elizabeth’s income was supporting the couple. But the couple had a plan for him to start work when the time came; he was going to get certified as a commercial truck driver, a process that involved paying for trucking school before he could start earning money.

Andrei won’t work for Elizabeth’s dad.

3. Baby makes three

In 2018, fans learned that the pair were expecting their first child together. Elizabeth told the cameras that the baby wasn’t entirely plannedbut they were excited to be growing their family, despite the fact that she was only working part-time and Andrei wasn’t working at all. To help them out with getting ready for the baby, her father generously allowed them to move into a house he owned in exchange for fixing the property up a bit. Apparently, however, he found out that they weren’t doing the improvements he had hoped for and, in fact, weren’t even doing basic upkeep like mowing the lawn. He scolded Elizabeth about her failure to keep up her side of the bargain, reminding her that they were living rent-free thanks to him.

4. Money woes

Andrei didn’t take kindly to Elizabeth’s father’s criticism and suggested that they move out of the house and pay their own way someplace else. However, despite having his green card and having finished the trucking course, he wasn’t working as a trucker. He had been hoping to find work that kept him local but discovered that the main jobs available were long-haul gigs that might keep him away from home for almost a month at a time. As a father to be, he wasn’t comfortable with that idea and deiced to change course and look for work as a handyman instead. Meanwhile, they decided to move forward with moving out of the rent-free home. The only problem was money: the couple couldn’t afford rent or a deposit on an apartment. Elizabeth decided to fix the problem by going behind her husband’s back and asking her father for the money.

5. More sister drama

Now settled into a new apartment that they can barely afford, Elizabeth headed out to spend some quality time with her sisters to vent about the struggles she and Adrei continue to face. Her sisters, not surprisingly, suggested her husband needed to aggressively seek gainful employment. While that is not a controversial statement given that Andrei is about to be a father to a newborn, Elizabeth took umbrage with her sisters’ criticism of the husband she had been criticizing moments before and stormed out. Then she turned around and started complaining about her sisters to Andrei during the ride home. In response, Andrei stopped wanting to spend time with Elizabeth’s sisters.

Elizabeth complained to her sisters about Andrei and to Andrei about her sisters.

6. Where are they now

For all the family conflict on screen, it seems like these two have little tension in the lives off camera. They welcomed their daughter earlier this year and their social media posts portray a happy family. Elizabeth has some partnerships with brands that she promotes and Anrdei mainly posts pictures of his wife and daughter.

The couple and their baby daughter.

It’s not clear to audiences how much of the conflict with this couple is real and how much is staged for the cameras. Regardless of how much reality is in the reality tv, congrats to Elizabeth and Andrei on the birth of their first child.

On tonight’s episode of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast gathered with family and friends to celebrate Elizabeth’s baby shower. It was supposed to be a festive event but the mood of the party quickly changed after Andrei had a temper tantrum and threatened to leave, according to a report from E! News.

The couple met on a dating app and after getting to know each other, Elizabeth met Andrei in-person during a trip to Dublin in 2016. The couple fell in love and Elizabeth applied for the K-1 visa to bring her Moldova-native boyfriend to the United States. Eventually, the couple married and settled in the U.S., but Andrei, who was unemployed during filming, had a difficult time getting along with his wife’s family.

This couple is now appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and Elizabeth’s family and friends are still having mixed feelings when it comes to her husband. Most recently, Andrei got into an argument with his sister-in-law Jenn. He later asked that Jenn be excluded from the upcoming baby shower but his wife’s other sister, Rebecca, who hosted the shower, still made the decision to invite Andrei’s current nemesis.

“I’m upset. Elizabeth’s family doesn’t listen to me. I think Rebecca did the wrong thing by inviting Jenn at the party. She just needs to avoid me as much as possible,” Andrei says in an exclusive clip shared by E! News.

In the same clip, Jenn says it’s clear her brother-in-law didn’t want her at the party but “there was no chance that I would never not attend my sister’s baby shower ever. Hell no. Even if I was mad at her, even if she was mad at me, I would still be there. Period.”

Rebecca made it clear that she didn’t want to be in the middle of the drama and insisted Jenn and Andrei handled their own issues.

Elizabeth’s father isn’t a huge fan of his son-in-law either. He recently revealed that he thought his daughter was “irresponsible” for allowing herself to get pregnant while Andrei was unemployed, as previously reported by The Inquisitr. The concerned father was immediately worried about whether or not his daughter and her husband were adequately prepared to handle the financial burden that comes with bringing a child into the world.

The couple welcomed their first child, Eleanor Louise, earlier this year.

This episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? will air tonight, Sunday, June 16, on TLC.
