Dancing with the Stars: Live Tickets

The decade-spanning a hit TV show is now touring the country. Every year millions of viewers follow their favorite dancers as they work with celebrities to win the big mirror ball. The Dancing with the Stars: Live tour brings some of the most recognizable names in dance to an arena near you. DWTS: Live brings fans of the television show a live look at professionally choreographed dancing, with all the trimmings. Traveling through both large cities and small, in the U.S as well as Canada, the tour features customized performances that can only be seen, and experienced, in this live setting.

Taking the Mirrored Ball Across the Country

Dancing with the Stars premiered in America in 2005. It was based on a British presentation called, “Strictly Come Dancing.” Over twenty seasons the show has featured some of the world’s most loved celebrities like football legends Emmitt Smith and Terrell Owens as well as acclaimed professional dancers like Val Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev and Julianne Hough. The Dancing with the Stars: Live tour was established to satisfy the appetite for Dancing with the Stars when the show is in-between seasons. The tour brings the live experience throughout North America to towns both big and small.

Where can I buy Dancing with the Stars tour tickets?

If you want to see your favorite Dancing with the Stars dancers live in-person, you can get your tickets at StubHub, the world’s largest online ticket marketplace. When you purchase your tickets at StubHub, you get the FanProtect guarantee that ensures your ticket purchase is safe and secure.

In which cities will the Dancing with the Stars live tour visit?

The show can be seen in many cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Multiple shows have been held at the world famous venues such as New York’s Radio City Music Hall, The Met Philadelphia and Atlantic City’s Borgata. Dancing with the Stars will also visit venues in smaller cities including Lancaster, New Brunswick and Richmond.

What can I expect from a Dancing with the Stars show?

This tour includes multiple professional dancers who have participated in the hit television show. Past performers include Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, Jenna Johnson and many more. They perform original numbers complete with elaborate costumes and a professional presentation. During the show, dancers perform many different styles. Anything from flamenco to the tango and anything in between is possible. The card is subject to change from tour to tour as well as from show to show.

Is the live performance the same as the TV program?

The live performance is based on the television program but is its own performance. The television show pairs a dancing professional with an inexperienced celebrity. Though past celebrity Dancing with the Stars has been featured on the tour, the live show is mainly a showcase of the professional dancers. The stars’ goal is to wow the audience with their athleticism, choreography and professionalism.

How long is a typical show?

The live shows usually last about two hours with a 15-minute intermission. Other than the intermission, the dancing virtually never stops. The dancers do frequent and seamless costume changes throughout the show which keeps the pace fast and the audience engaged.

What does the Dancing with the Stars live show set look like?

The live show’s set is typically understated. The production crew uses a large video screen to display some graphics and set a mood. However, the focus is mostly on the dancers and the stories that they are telling through different types of dance.Back to Top

Dancing with The Stars

The dancing was entertaining and fun to watch, but it wasn’t what I hoped it would be. There was a giant screen at the back of the stage that has different colors, patterns, and images flowing across it through the entire show; sitting near the back of the arena, all that did was distract me and make it difficult to see the steps and feet of the dancers. Add to that the bright and blinding light show, which was clearly run by someone who has never sat facing directly at the stage in the higher sections, the choreography, which was really just for the people sitting close to the stage, as we couldn’t see their feet and barely saw much of the actual choreography besides them going back and forth across the stage, and the fact that most of the dances were about a minute long to snippets of songs. There were two large screens set on either side of the stage so people in the back could see better (although that doesn’t help when the videographer only pans and shows distance shots and close ups of the dancers when they are talking, not actually dancing). Yes, the dancing we could see was amazing and the costumes were gorgeous. But the show as a whole failed. It’s production ran as if it were a bunch of amateurs behind the scenes, and it was very obviously tailored to those sitting near the stage. Overall a big disappointment to me and my Mom (who I surprised with the tickets as a Xmas present). We both agreed the show wasn’t worth what we spent on it (not just the tickets, but the 2 hour drive each way to and home from the arena), and we wouldn’t do it again.

ABC

Dancing With the Stars season 28 finale aired on ABC on Monday, November 25. Over the years’, the DWTS cast have earned major celebrity status of their own, so it makes perfect sense that fans of the dance competition want to see their favorite pros up close and personal in the form of a live tour.

In 2020, the cast will be touring in the United States and Canada throughout the Winter. On the DWTS Tour website, they promise that “The show will feature the professional dancers in a brand-new production showcasing every type of dance style ranging from Tango to Foxtrot, Cha-Cha to Waltz – and everything in between. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the excitement, glamour and glitz they see in the ballroom every Monday night live on stage in their hometown.”

If you’re interested in seeing the show for yourself when the tour stops at a city near you, here’s what you need to know:

‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2020 Tour Cast

So far, Witney Carson, Gleb Savchenko, Lindsay Arnold, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, and Brandon Armstrong have been confirmed for the tour. Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach were later confirmed for the tour cast.

The tour usually includes celebrities from the show’s latest season, to add even more “star power” to the show and keep it true to its name. Announcements about the celebrity guest additions are often announced during and shortly after the finale, to help transition DWTS fans into tour mode once the season has concluded.

After a performance from the DWTS pros, host Erin Andrews announced that the celebrities who will be participating in the 2020 tour are Hannah Brown, Kate Flannery, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Kel Mitchell, Ally Brooke, and Lauren Alaina.

DWTS 2020 Tour Dates & Locations

The 2020 tour kicks off right after the holidays, with its first show on January 9, 2020 in Richmond, Virginia. After Richmond, the cast travels to Atlantic City, New Jersey for a show on January 10 at the Borgata.

The show runs through early Spring 2020, ending on April 7 in Portland, Oregon.

The tour will visit a total of 69 cities over its 80 tour dates. For a complete list of tour locations and dates schedule, .

Tickets are currently on sale via Ticketmaster, and VIP packages can be purchased through VIP Nation for those interested in premium tickets, meet-and-greet opportunities with the cast, and exclusive merchandise and photo opps.

Dancing With the Stars: Journey to Paradise

After the tour ends in April, the DWTS franchise is offering fans yet another opportunity to see their favorites up-close and personal with a new tropical destination getaway experience called “Dancing With the Stars: Journey to Paradise.”

From May 19 through June 1, you can travel to Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas’ Paradise Island to watch your favorite cast members, professional dance stars, and even judges perform. According to Entertainment Tonight, Sharna Burgess, who was absent from the season 28 cast, will be participating in “Journey to Paradise,” in addition to Artem Chigvintsev, Alan Bersten, Cheryl Burke, and more. For a full list of confirmed cast, .

Dancing with the Stars pros will be hitting the road beginning early next year on the “DWTS Live! 2020 Tour,” and making select stops will be Season 28’s Top 4 performers — Hannah Brown, Kel Mitchell, Ally Brooke, and Lauren Alaina.

During the season finale, it was announced that along with the aforementioned four stars, two other fan-favorites from the season will be touring with the show’s pros. The tour will be jam-packed with favorite routines, show secrets and exciting surprises.

The two additions include former The Office star Kate Flannery, and model and photographer Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who stepped in for her injured mother, Christie Brinkley, just ahead of the first episode of Season 28.

The announcement was also made on Instagram.

The pros that will hit the road include Witney Carson, Gleb Savchenko, Lindsay Arnold, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, and Brandon Armstrong, along with other troupe dancers from the series to flesh out the cast.

The shows that will take the cast crisscrossing North America and Canada will begin in January of 2020 and continue through early April.

The dancers and celebrities will perform a whopping number of shows in four months, 76 in total, with some cities scoring multiple events.

Fans have already voiced their displeasure that Hannah Brown, Season 28’s overall winner, will only be dancing on the tour stop in New York City for one show at Radio City Music Hall on January 28.

“Why isn’t she doing the entire tour since she’s the champion?” questioned one Instagram user.

“She won and she’s only going to be at one show?” said a second fan of the show.

“The champ only goes to one date?” remarked a third fan on social media.

The remaining celebrities — which include Kel, Ally, Lauren, Kate, and Sailor — will flesh out the remainder of the grueling tour appearances.

Lauren is only scheduled for four tour stops. Kel and Ally are scheduled for six appearances, Sailor for 16, and Kate will be performing for most of the tour.

The show will feature the professional dancers in a brand new production showcasing every type of dance style, ranging from tango to foxtrot, cha-cha to waltz, and everything in between. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the excitement, glamour, and glitz they see in the ballroom on stage in their respective hometowns.

The all-new production promises to wow audiences as the cast performs fan-favorite routines from the TV series and new numbers choreographed just for the live shows.

The Dancing With the Stars — Live Tour 2020 is going to be epic!

During the season 28 finale Monday night, host Tom Bergeron announced that Ally Brooke, Lauren Alaina, Kel Mitchell, Kate Flannery, Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Hannah Brown will be joining the nationwide tour, which kicks off Jan. 9 in Richmond, Virginia.

“I’m so excited that Sailor is joining the tour!” Sailor’s pro partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, told ET following the exciting reveal. “I was really sad that her dance journey was cut short, but I’m excited that she gets to keep dancing and keeps being part of the family.”

“The cool thing about the tour is that it takes away the element of the competition and still brings all your favorites and that kind of makes it that much more fun,” he continued. “It’s nice to just get onstage and just feel the love from our fans … this is 100% awesome.”

Chmerkovskiy’s wife, Jenna Johnson, chimed in, telling ET that rehearsals start in about 10 days.

“The live tour is three months. It’s our longest tour yet,” she explained. “There’s going to be a great storyline all the way through the show that we’re really excited about. This is the most celebrities we’ve ever had, mixing in and out of the tour, which is going to be really fun.”

In addition to Johnson and Chmerkovskiy, the celebrity group will also hit the road with previously announced pro dancers Witney Carson, Gleb Savchenko, Lindsay Arnold, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Brandon Armstrong, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov and Alan Bersten. The dancers gave fans a preview of what to expect from the tour by performing to Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” on Monday.

“A lot of you have been asking if Hannah could be joining me on the DWTS Live Tour… that would be awesome!” Bersten teased to ET in his guest blog earlier this season. “Honestly, we’re just thinking one week at a time right now. But I know Hannah would love the tour, it’s so much fun! I love tour because that is when I get to meet all the fans who are supporting and voting for us each week on the show.”

Brinkley-Cook also shared her interest about joining the tour when she stopped by ET with Chmerkovskiy earlier this year.

“There is a chance ,” Chmerkovskiy teased. “There is definitely a chance. And I think the cast would love to have her. I think that’s a big deal. We as dancers, this is our sixth or seventh tour on the road. It’s a 50-city tour, it’s a beautiful experience. But that’s our little thing, right? The TV show, that’s celebrities. The tour is sort of our little thing, so it’s important that the cast embraces a celebrity and Sailor, man, all the dancers, all the pros love Sailor and would love to tour with her.”

“I love them,” Brinkley-Cook added. “I miss you guys!”

DWTS Hot Summer Nights Tour 2017

Dancing With the Stars

Hot Summer Nights Tour Summer 2017

#DWTSTour

This was my 5th Dancing with the Stars tour! The stage set up with fantastic, great music/dance selection and the cast was filled with not only great talent but, the kindest people. Truly loved the Hot Summer Nights Tour!

The cast included: Rashad Jennings, Heather Morris (filled in for most of July while Rashad was out for football) Sharna Burgess, Lindsay Arnold, Artem Chigvintsev, Gleb Savchenko, Keo Motsepe, Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Sasha Farber, Hayley Erbert and Britt Stewart!

This year’s tour was very light & fun with a lot of summertime elements mixed in. It was so great to see Emma & Rashad dance together live again. I was so excited for them that they won this season. I haven’t seen Heather perform yet that will be at the next show. It was also so nice to have Sasha back on tour this time and Britt was another fantastic addition to the cast. I know a lot of people were unsure what to expect when Val took the summer off. Even though he and Jenna were incredibly missed on the stage I think many of the other dancers really shined bright this tour. We saw a few of our favorite dances from the season, they had an entire movie section which was just fantastic. I know I keep saying it when I post pictures but, that dance that Sharna & Gleb do to 50 Shades was just smoking hot. I also really enjoyed Artem & Hayley’s beautiful and passionate contemporary dance and Gleb & Hayley’s dance to “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”. Watching Sasha and Emma dance quite a few pieces together including the Viennese Waltz dedicated to their engagement was just beautiful. Lindsay has a fun storytelling portion of the show as well that is hilarious in addition to performing many amazing numbers. I also really enjoyed the Prince/Princess piece. Keo is absolutely hilarious with his drop the mic moment and also has many beautiful and high energy performances. Alan also truly stands out this tour with his fun dance with the ladies, his Samba with Lindsay and many other fantastic performances. Britt is a real sweetheart and also incredibly talented. She shines bright on the stage every night! All of the dancers just radiate joy on that stage. The entire show was absolutely beautiful and high energy and it allowed all the dancers to be equally in the spotlight.

I also loved all the other special elements. If you haven’t seen the show you can skip a few of the videos so it doesn’t get spoiled:

Every style of dance was perfectly portrayed, you could feel the raw emotion and energy and each performance flew by because it was just that good. This year’s tour was similar to the last one very fast paced which I loved it seemed to be shorter numbers but, with a lot more content packed in which I absolutely loved.

The dancers gave it their all every single night of the performances and I cannot say enough what a privilege it was to meet them at the meet and greets, but to sit in the audience and watch their talent and brilliance come to life.

For even more photos please visit my Instagram, Twitter or Facebook pages @lightscmemories

I will be posting an article on the VIP Experience this week as well!

Until next time,

Xoxoxo
