Dragon’s blood sculpting gel

Overall score: 84/100

Tested August 2018

Recommended for use in the morning and at night, this is an anti-ageing gel that works to plump and tighten sagging skin as well as define facial contours. It is said to act like a second skin film, to help safeguard and minimise redness and ensure that the skin looks volumised, supple and flexible. Infused with patented active Collageneer to enhance collagen synthesis, and helps to tighten and firm up skin. The gel also consists of actives that work to promote skin regeneration and protect against free radical damage. It also claims to give skin a plumper and fuller appearance. It comes in a 50ml airless pump pack, with soft floral notes combined with some green notes.

Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask

How utterly disapointing! I wanted this mask to work. This mask does exactly the same job as a well known French drugstore brand hydrating mask containing almost identical ingredients with a few exeptions at a fraction of the cost and 50% more mask in it. The effect of the hydrating claims was barely noticeable even though the tactile effect was nice and gave a silky skin feel. I understood immediately why this mask made my skin thirsty and felt like it drawed moisture from my skin rather than add moisture after reading the ingrediets. It should be forbidden to call this a hyaluronic mask as this ingredient is listed AFTER the perfume and amidst the preservatives. The Croton Lechleri (Dragons Blood) is listed as the LAST ingredients an thus would barely be mesurable with higly sofisticated lab equipment. After reading and trying other Rodial products this brand is by far the most hyped products I ever reviewed. By my opinion this brand is the equivalent of flushing your money down your sink or shower.. Read the ingredients list for yourself and you will discover that Rodial will go down the drain as soon as you realize that it is all marketing and absolutely no product to spend a cent on. Stay away as far as possible if you want to keep the integrity of your wallet and skin. Buy again? No – not ever! I’d rather benefit from the moisturising effect of pigeon droppings.

Quick Summary:

It Works Defining Gel is an average anti-cellulite product.

I love that it dries quickly, spreads super easy, and doesn’t have a strong smell.

I wish it provided more obvious improvements in the appearance of my cellulite, but I can’t say it did nothing at all.

Luckily, the way my skin felt improved tremendously. My skin was softer, smoother, and hydrated.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a money back guarantee and this product is pretty expensive. Plus, it’s sold as part of a multi-level marketing platform, so it’s kind of a pain to purchase (you have to buy it through a “distributor”).

For such an expensive price, I expected more than I got, but it did provide some improvements to my skin (nothing amazing).

Overall, it is a pretty average product with basic results.

Detailed Opinion:

It Works Defining Gel is a clear gel with a very slick feel.

It should be applied 2-3 times per day. Simply massage it into your problem area.

I found the process to be very easy, clean, and quick. The gel comes out of the squeeze tube very easily and spreads nice.

Drying Time

This lotion dries very fast. In about 2 minutes it’s fully absorbed and completely dry.

The drying time might be my favorite thing about this product.

I love that it doesn’t leave any stickiness or wet feeling.

Smell (in the bottle)

It Works Defining Gel has a subtle clean citrus scent.

I really like that it’s not too strong or overpowering.

Smell (a few hours after application)

After a few hours the lotion fades into a very subtle clean fresh scent.

I definitely like the smell after a few hours more than when it is initially applied.

Short Term Results

Directly after applying this product, my skin felt super soft and smooth.

I didn’t notice any visual changes, but my skin did feel extremely smooth right away.

Long Term Results

After a couple weeks, I noticed my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth.

Unfortunately, I didn’t notice much of a change in the appearance of my cellulite or the tightness of my skin. Perhaps if I used the product 3 times instead of 2 times a day, I would have more dramatic improvements (but I doubt it).

On the upside, the texture of my skin was definitely smoother, hydrated, and overall healthier.

It Works Defining Gel has a multitude of ingredients.

For example, it contains Witch Hazel, which supposedly has anti-inflammatory and strengthening properties.

Another healthy ingredient is Green Tea Extract. This extract has a component called Theobormine that is believed to be directly related to improving the appearance of cellulite. Theobromine works a lot like Caffeine; it supposedly helps stimulate the release of stored fat.

Seaweed extract is also a major ingredient in It Works Defining Gel. It is believed to improve cellulite by absorbing fat and reducing its overall appearance.

One bottle of It Works Defining Gel costs $75.

At a bottle size of 6 oz, that works out to about $12.50 per ounce.

That’s not the most expensive product, but it’s definitely on the pricier side!

I couldn’t find a 30-day money back guarantee on this product.

For such an expensive product, I would always rather use a product that has a money back guarantee.

The Truth About Toning Gel: Does it Work?

You have probably read, seen or heard about toning gel. But, like many other products out there that promise you fast results and a better-looking you without much effort on your part, toning gel has its skeptics. You may be wondering if toning gel works. Well, the answer is yes…and no.

There’s nothing that can tone your muscles quite like a good workout. Setting up a workout routine and combining it with a healthy diet and plenty of sleep is the best way for you to look your best. But, if you want to get an extra edge, toning gel may be able to help you out.

How Toning Gel Works

Basically, toning gel is advertised as a product that can help you get firmer skin and better looking toned muscles on all parts of your body. It works as a gel that you run into the muscles of your body. They even have special toning gels that you can put under your eyes and on your face to help the skin on your face become firmer.

In addition to just making your skin firmer, toning gels also promise to make your skin glisten so that you muscles appear tight and toned. In this way, toning gels actually do work well because, like water or oil or any other liquid, you can put it on your skin and get a look that shines. This is how toning gels promise to help you look your best.

But, Do Toning Gels Really Work?

Unfortunately, there have been plenty of mixed results when it comes to toning gels. The problem is that, as stated above, putting any type of liquid on muscles makes them look better for the short term. But, there are really no toning gels that are approved by the FDA for the use of producing firmer skin and muscles. So, while some toning gels may actually work, others are not going to do you much good. In other words, toning gel may not provide the results that you’re hoping for when you put it on.

Rather than tone your skin and muscles, it may only deliver a temporary look that fades away as soon as the toning gel disappears. And in that case, you might as well just use some regular lotion to keep your skin clear and soft.

Alternatives to Toning Gel

If you try a toning gel and don’t see results, you might want to try a toning table. Though toning tables are incredibly expensive, many tanning salons and spas offer toning table treatments. Toning tables help tone your muscles without requiring you to actually hit the gym or exercise. Like toning gels, they have received mixed results when it comes to feedback from users. But, it is one alternative that you may enjoy.

Working out regularly is your best option for toning your muscles on your own. But, a good toning gel may be a nice accessory for anyone looking to get their tone to really pop.
