Do dr grey and dr shepard get back together

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Are Jo And Alex Headed For Divorce?

At least half the fun of Grey’s Anatomy is the ships. After all, this is a show that started with a hookup that turned into one of the greatest TV romances. And there has always been a lot of sexual tension in the hospital, from back when it was Seattle Grace to now at Grey Sloan Memorial. But when a favorite couple is threatened, it’s hard not to wonder if they’re headed for a breakup.

Alex Karev’s romantic history

As one of just four original characters still on the show, Alex Karev has, understandably, had his fair share of trysts and significant others. Initially, he was the bad boy of the show and slept with a few side characters, including Nurse Olivia, and is partially responsible for a syphilis outbreak. He also has a fling with Derek Shepherd’s ex-wife, Addison Montgomery, at one point.

But Alex also has a number of real relationships. There’s Izzie Stevens, who he gets together with early on, but later cheats on. They get back together and get married, but she leaves him and files for divorce. He also dates Meredith Grey’s sister, Lexie, for a time, as well as an OB/GYN, Lucy Fields.

While plenty of viewers shipped Alex and Izzie or Alex and Lexie at one point in time, we can all agree that his healthiest relationship by far has been with Jo. They met when she was an intern, and slowly, bits of her difficult past came to light. However, this is something they had in common, and they bonded over their relatively similar experiences growing up.

Of course, because this is Grey’s, they were rarely without some conflict. Things reached a dangerous peak when Jo refused Alex’s proposal, and, due to a misunderstanding, assaults another doctor, Andrew DeLuca. It seemed as though following the death of her abusive ex-husband, Paul, things were finally going well for them, as they got married and Jo changed her last name to Karev.

A Season 15 episode revealed dark secrets about Jo’s past

Until recently, we knew that Jo was abandoned at a fire station and grew up in the foster care system, eventually living alone in her car and working tirelessly to pay for medical school. We know that she changed her name in order to escape Paul, and that, generally speaking, she avoided all things that had to do with her past. At least, until now.

Thinking about her future with Alex, Jo decides to track down her birth mother with the help of tech-savvy intern Casey. But when they meet, she doesn’t get the story she expects. Her mother became pregnant after she was raped, and gave her up because she didn’t think she could cope with raising her. What’s more, her birth father died in a car accident.

Is this going to end Jolex forever?

We’ve seen Jo and Alex go through a lot, but now that they’re married, we hope they going to keep trying to work through things. After Jo’s discovery, she returned home and began to drink heavily, sleep a lot, and completely avoid speaking to Alex. He has tried to get her to open up, even bringing in her old friend, , to try and get the truth out of her about what happened, but she’s been silent.

In Season 15 Episode 22 “Head Over High Heels,” Jo shows up to work still drunk from the night before. Alex finally calls her out, saying he won’t let her keep this secret from him any longer. But Jo doesn’t take this well, and the episode ends with the two of them threatening one another. Things don’t look good for Jolex right now — will they be able to patch things up before Season 15 ends in May, or are they headed for divorce?

Owen and Amelia have shared countless ups and downs over the years on Grey’s Anatomy. Their relationship finally disintegrates in season 14 of the show when Owen’s sister Megan visits Grey Sloan and Amelia finds out that she has a brain tumor. It’s an amicable breakup compared to other devastating broken relationships on Grey’s, and in the final episodes of the season, the former couple even strikes up an unconventional friendship. I’ve had serious skepticism about this pair working out since their inception, but now I find myself rooting for them.

Like many Grey’s fans, I had been hoping Owen gets to ride off into the sunset with Teddy. It feels like no matter who Owen ends up falling for, the thought of getting together with his best friend sits in the back of his mind like a slow burn. He’s the Harry to her Sally!

But things don’t work out between Owen and Teddy, at least within the scope of season 14. Upon Amelia’s encouragement, the trauma surgeon books a flight to Germany and finally hooks up with Teddy after seasons upon seasons of romantic tension. They share a sweet and tender moment, but then the cardiothoracic surgeon figures out that Owen had hooked up with Amelia just the day before and everything falls to shambles. Yup, steeped in loneliness and sexual deprivation, Amelia and Owen start to “use each other” — their words, not mine.

Teddy rightfully feels rebuffed and this encounter seems to mark the end of one of the greatest romances on Grey’s Anatomy. Things have also fizzled out between Amelia and her fellow neurosurgeon Dr. Koracick, which makes the idea of Owen and Amelia reuniting more of a real possibility.

Rejected after his trip to Germany, Owen returns to Seattle, and decides to take charge of his own life. He takes in a foster child, a cute-as-a-button baby boy named Leo. Amelia, who’s used to taking care of her nieces and nephews, lends Owen a huge hand in setting up things for Leo. Her help doesn’t feel at all forced — there’s a natural intimacy and understanding between them, an intuition between old lovers.

They both meet Leo’s teenage mother, Betty. Amelia figures out that Betty is an addict, and being a former addict herself, connects with the young mom. She offers to take her in, and much to her surprise, receives Owen’s blessing — and even an offer for both of them to move in. Aside from Meredith’s encounter with Dr. Marsh, this is the first time I’ve felt hopeful about a relationship on Grey’s Anatomy this season.

Owen and Amelia’s relationship had originally crumbled because she didn’t want to have children. Right now, though, it looks like the couple is finally on the same page, and it’s hard to deny the fuzzy feelings developing between them. Yes, Betty is fragile, and she might decide to take off with Leo or go back to her parents, but it looks like after seasons of dysfunction, Amelia and Owen might have a real shot at starting a family together. These children might just be the right amount of glue to bind them, even if just temporarily.

Hopefully, the show’s writers aren’t playing with us like they did with April and Jackson (April too had moved in with Jackson, who’s now with Maggie). As one of the many Owen and Teddy shippers out there, I’m now rooting for things to work out between Owen and Amelia.

We all fell in love with Patrick Dempsey during his 11 seasons as Dr. Derek Shepherd a.k.a. McDreamy on Grey’s Anatomy. But, and we hate to break it to you Grey’s fans, your dreams of Meredith and McDreamy getting together IRL aren’t going to come true: The 53-year-old actor has been married to celebrity makeup artist Jillian Fink for nearly 20 years and they are also parents to Tallula, Sullivan, and Darby. While their marriage hasn’t always been easy, their family of five is now as strong and happy as ever.

Shortly after his divorce from Rochelle “Rocky” Parker in 1994, Patrick met celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist Jillian Fink. They met at a hair salon where Patrick scheduled a quick trim: “I was shocked but at the same time, I was happy because he was so cute,” Jillian recalled to People. After three years of haircuts, he caught wind that she was single and finally asked her out. Things moved rather quickly: Three months after their first date, the couple moved in together. They eventually got married in July 31, 1999 at his family’s farmhouse in Maine.

Since getting married, both of their careers have taken off. Patrick, of course, stole our hearts as McDreamy. Jillian, on the other hand, has become one of the most popular makeup artists and hair stylists to the stars including Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, and yes, even her husband. “We try not to get into each other’s work too much,” the actor told People. “My big thing is to make sure the lipsticks taste good when you kiss. And, well, so far they taste pretty darn good.” (He’s talking about his wife’s luxury line of lip and cheek tints. She also has lid tints, kohl eyeliner , and a gold sculpting bar in her collection.)

On February 20, 2002, the couple welcomed daughter Tallula Fyfe. She (along with her younger brothers) opened his eyes to the joys of fatherhood: “It’s fascinating and fun to come up with answers to their questions … and the questions are getting harder!” When it comes to cooking, however, Tullala has all the answers. ” She loves cooking. She’s incredibly creative,” Patrick gushed to People. Now, the 17-year-old is considering colleges in Washington D.C. and Patrick told Extra that he’s “very excited” for his daughter.

And just like that, the Dempsey family grew by two. Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen were born on February 1, 2007. While the actor admitted that he was initially overwhelmed at the idea of having twin boys, his worries quickly subsided when he met them. “Sullivan will probably read this article in 20 years and say, ‘What did you say about me?’ He’s sort of the grumpy old man. Darby is very much the peaceful, quiet little Buddha,” he told People in 2007. Even when they were just a few days old, Patrick mentioned how he couldn’t wait to give the boys a spin on the race track — and now that they are 12 years old, they join their dad as often as they can. “Racing is a family sport,” he says.

January 2015: Jillian filed for divorce.

After 16 years of marriage, Jillian filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ, she was seeking joint custody of their three children along with spousal and child support. The couple released the following statement: “It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.”

November 2016: The couple called off their divorce.

Just a few months later, the estranged couple was spotted holding hands, riding bikes, and just being downright adorable in Paris. This led people to believe they were together again — and the actor confirmed the news in May of that year. “You have to work at everything,” Patrick told Evening Standard. “And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.” So, he sacrificed his time on the race track to give more attention toward his marriage and children — and it paid off.

On November 4, 2016, Jillian filed to have the couple’s divorce papers dismissed by the courts. Just a few days later, a judge granted the request. “Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of,” Patrick told People. “I didn’t feel like we had done all the work. And we both wanted to do that work. That’s where it started.” The couple prioritized their marriage by working through their differences with a counselor: “You can only do one thing at a time and do it well,” he says. “I to prioritize. Our union has to be the priority. I wasn’t prepared to give up on her and she wasn’t either. We both wanted to fight for it.” Now, the couple agrees that their marriage is a “new beginning.”

McDreamy’s First Wife Was His Mother’s Best Friend and Other Odd Facts

Before he became Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey’s first wife happened to be his manager who was 27-years his senior.

When recent news broke that Patrick Dempsey and his current wife were filing for divorce, I got curious and started to wonder who his first wife was.

The little info I did find led me to the following strange details:

  • Dempsey’s first wife was named Rochelle ‘Rocky’ Parker who was born on February 26, 1940.
  • Parker was best friends with Patrick’s mom.
  • She also was his assistant on the set of the 1987 movie, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ and later became his manager for a short period.
  • In 1987, Patrick Dempsey and Rocky Parker married, he was 21 and she was 47-years old.
  • The two were married for seven years until Parker filed for divorce in 1994, citing “irreconcilable differences,” reportedly after he told her that he had met another woman. There was also tabloid talk that she accused him of beating her, but no claims were actually verified by a court of law.
  • When interviewed in 2006 by Barbara Walters she asked him about his first marriage, to which Dempsey replied, “Yeah, I think I needed a mother.”
  • Rocky Parker died on April 19, 2014 in Los Angeles, California but no cause of death can be found anywhere.
  • See a picture of the couple here.

Seems that even the rich and famous have skeletons in their closets too.

Is this the new McDreamy? Grey’s Anatomy casts Patrick Dempsey lookalike as series regular

Has Grey’s Anatomy just cast a replacement Derek Shepherd? The long-running medical drama has been in need of a new leading man since Patrick Dempsey’s shock departure earlier this year – and now they might just have found one.

Meet McDreamy 2.0 (he’s obviously going to need a new nickname): Martin Henderson, a 49-year-old actor from New Zealand who you may recognise from roles in Bride and Prejudice, Secrets & Lies, The Ring and Home and Away.

Henderson has just been cast as a series regular in Grey’s Anatomy’s 12th season. There are no official details about the actor’s role, but he is expected to play a new surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

The actor, who will star alongside Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and Justin Chambers, bears a striking resemblance to McDreamy, with his rugged stubble, blue eyes and swept back hair.

See what we mean?

Could it be that, as well as taking on a role at the hospital, he’s set to play a future love interest for the recently widowed Meredith, too?

Grey’s Anatomy will return for a 12th season next year

Ellen Pompeo says she hasn’t spoken to Patrick Dempsey since his character was killed off ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

  • On the latest episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch series, “Red Table Talk,” the actress was joined by “Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo.
  • A fan submitted a question asking if Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey (whose character, Derek Shepherd, was killed off during season 11) are still friends.
  • Pompeo explained that they haven’t talked since he left the show in 2015, but there are “no hard feelings.”
  • “We have not spoken, but I will always have a place in my heart for Patrick,” the 49-year-old added.

After Meredith Grey and Dr. Derek Shepherd were forced apart on “Grey’s Anatomy” on season 11, the relationship between the characters’ actors had a similar fate IRL! Ellen Pompeo explained why there’s silence between her and Patrick Dempsey.

When Dr. Derek Shepherd — SPOILER — died on “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2015, apparently so did the friendship of the character’s actor with Ellen Pompeo, 49 … or so it seems! Rather, it’s a silent friendship, as the actress insisted that she has no bad blood with her former small screen hubby, Patrick Dempsey, 52. “We haven’t spoken since he’s left the show,” Ellen confessed on the December 10 episode of Red Table Talk, hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris. “I have no hard feelings toward him, he’s a wonderful actor and we made, you know, the best TV you could make together.” Ellen continued to stress there was no falling out, as she added, “That’s a talented man right there … he did 11 amazing years.”

The news is rather jarring, since these are the two who made Dr. Derek and Meredith Grey one of the most shipped pairings in TV history … their on-screen romance even led to three fictional children! As for why Patrick went MIA in Ellen’s life, she explained, “Typically when people leave the show, they need to sort of re-find themselves, who they are, without the show, because the show takes up so much of your life.” Patrick’s departure from the show, and Ellen’s life, is nothing personal — just a much needed move for rebranding. “You need that time to figure out who you are without the show,” she continued. “So, we have not spoken but I will always have a place in my heart for Patrick.”

Fair enough. At least for the show’s star, she sees “no end in sight,” which she revealed during a visit to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on October 23. We’ve reported why she had a change of heart, after admitting she’s looking to “do some new things” during a September interview with Entertainment Weekly! “Grey’s Anatomy,” which is currently airing season 15, is still guaranteed to have Ellen for the forthcoming season thanks to contract obligations — but after that, nothing’s guaranteed!

As for what Patrick’s up to these days, he has moved on to a new television series! He’s switching trades from an on-screen doctor to the CEO of a bank in the upcoming series “Devils,” set to premiere in 2019.

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Galen Dempsey is an American actor and race car driver, known for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd (“McDreamy”) on the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. He has also recently appeared in several films, including Sweet Home Alabama, The Emperor’s Club, Freedom Writers, Enchanted, Made of Honor, and Valentine’s Day.

Dempsey was born in Lewiston, Maine, and grew up in Buckfield, Maine, the youngest of three children born to Amanda and William Dempsey. He has Irish ancestry. Dempsey attended St. Dominic Regional High School for his senior year, where his mother worked as a secretary, but dropped out before he graduated. He was an adept juggler, tying for second in a national juggling competition. He was also an accomplished skier and while in high school won the Maine state slalom championship. Dempsey spent some of his school years in the town of Turner, Maine, where he attended Leavitt Area High School in the Maine School Administrative District (MSAD) #52 for his freshman through junior years.

Dempsey was diagnosed with dyslexia at age twelve. He told Barbara Walters on her 2008 Oscar special that he thinks dyslexia “made him what he is today.” “It’s given me a perspective of — you have to keep working,” Dempsey told Walters. “I have never given up.”

He was discovered by an invitation to audition for a role in the stage production of Torch Song Trilogy. His audition was successful, and he spent the following four months touring with the company in Philadelphia. Dempsey also appeared on ABC family on a show Overnight Success by Teri DeSario, where he sings and juggles. He followed this with another tour, Brighton Beach Memoirs, in the lead role, which was directed by Gene Saks. Dempsey has also made notable appearances in the stage productions of On Golden Pond, with the Maine Acting Company, and as Timmy (the Martin Sheen role) in a 1990 Off-Broadway revival of The Subject Was Roses co-starring with John Mahoney and Dana Ivey at the Roundabout Theatre in New York.

Dempsey’s first major feature film role was at age 21 with Beverly D’Angelo in the movie In The Mood, the real life WW2 story about Ellsworth Wisecarver who had relationships with older married women which created a national uproar. This was followed by the teen comedy Can’t Buy Me Love in 1987 with actress Amanda Peterson and Some Girls with Jennifer Connelly in 1988. This film was a flop. In 1989, he had the lead role in the film Loverboy with actress Kirstie Alley and Happy Together with actress Helen Slater. Although the teen comedy and romance roles led to Dempsey being somewhat typecast for a time, he was able to avoid playing the same character as his career progressed.

Dempsey made a number of featured appearances in television in the 1990s; he was cast several times in pilots that were not picked up for a full season, including lead roles in the TV versions of the films The Player and About A Boy. However he received good reviews as he portrayed real-life mob boss, Meyer Lansky in 1991, when Mobsters was put on the screen. His first major television role was a recurring role as Will’s closeted sportscaster boyfriend on Will & Grace. He went on to play the role of Aaron Brooks, Lily & Judy’s psychologically unbalanced brother, on Once & Again. Dempsey received an Emmy nomination in 2001 as Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for the role of Aaron. In 1993, he played a young John F. Kennedy in the 2-part TV mini-series JFK: Reckless Youth. In 2004, he co-starred in the highly acclaimed HBO production, Iron Jawed Angels, opposite Hilary Swank and Anjelica Huston. He also appeared as special guest star in The Practice for 3 episodes finale season, as a married man who murdered his lover.

Dempsey had a high-profile role as one of the suitors for Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama. He also had a role as Detective Kincaid on Scream 3. When Scream 4 was officially announced, it was speculated Dempsey would return. But in late April, writer Kevin Williamson confirmed the 3 main cast members who had survived the other 3 movies were the only returning characters. Dempsey’s most recent roles include the 2007 Disney film Enchanted, and the Paramount Pictures film Freedom Writers where he reunites with his Iron Jawed Angels co-star Hilary Swank. He also voiced the character Kenai in Brother Bear 2.

Dempsey starred in the 2008 film Made of Honor as Tom, and appeared in 2010’s romantic comedy Valentine’s Day; the latter film, directed by Garry Marshall, follows five interconnecting stories about Los Angelinos anticipating (or in some cases dreading) the holiday of love.

Dempsey has acquired the rights to the prize-winning novel The Art of Racing in the Rain and will produce and star in the screen version. The film will go into production in 2010. He has also signed on to star in the 2011 movie Transformers 3.

He has been married twice. In 1987, he married actress and acting coach Rocky Parker, who appeared with Dempsey in the film In the Mood. The couple divorced in 1994.

On July 31, 1999, Dempsey married Jillian Fink, founder of Delux Beauty. The couple have three children: a daughter, Talula Fyfe, born on February 20, 2002, and twin sons Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick, born on February 1, 2007. The family resides in Malibu and also have homes in Maine and Texas.

Dempsey enjoys auto racing in his spare time, having driven the pace car in the Indianapolis 500, and raced in the Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race and Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race. He is currently the co-owner of IndyCar Series team Vision Racing and Dempsey Racing, which is presently racing two Mazda RX-8 cars in the Rolex Grand Am series, GT class. Sports Car Series. He participates in this series as often as his schedule allows as he is unable to race while filming a movie due to insurance issues. In 2009, he raced a Team Seattle Advanced Engineering Ferrari F430 GT in the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans’s GT2 class, and finished 9th in class.

Early Life and Career

Patrick Dempsey was born on January 13, 1966, in Lewiston, Maine. The youngest of three children, Dempsey dropped out of high school to tour as a juggler and magician. He eventually segued into theater, performing in several plays including the lead role in Brighton Beach Memoirs in San Francisco and The Subject was Roses in New York City.

During the late 1980s, Dempsey became a teen heartthrob after being cast in the romantic comedies Heaven Help Us, Can’t Buy Me Love and Loverboy. He made the transition to television in the 1990s, landing several recurring roles on sitcoms and drama series, including an Emmy-nominated performance for Once & Again in 2001. In 2004, he co-starred in HBO’s acclaimed Iron Jawed Angels with Hilary Swank and Anjelica Huston.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’

In 2005, Dempsey took on the role of Dr. Derek Shepherd — also known as “Dr. McDreamy” — on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. The series debuted on ABC as a midseason replacement and has since become one of the most highly rated shows on television. Audiences adored his portrayal of the sensitive doctor and were intrigued by the on-again, off-again relationship between his character and Dr. Meredith Grey played by Ellen Pompeo. Dempsey has earned both a Screen Actors Guild Award and a People’s Choice Award for his work on the series.

Not everything on the hit show has run smoothly, however. Dempsey got into a dispute with cast member Isaiah Washington in 2006 after Washington made a derogatory comment about the sexuality of another actor on the show. The two were said to have patched things up later, and Washington left the series in 2007. Dempsey left the series in 2015 after more than 10 years.

Movie Roles

In addition to his work on Grey’s Anatomy, Dempsey has taken on a few film roles. He reunited with former co-star Hilary Swank for Freedom Writers (2007). In this drama, Swank played a teacher trying to improve the lives of her at-risk youths and Dempsey appeared as her husband. In his next film project, he has taken on lighter fare — a romantic comedy with a fantastical twist. Dempsey stars in Enchanted (2007) as a lawyer who falls for a princess from long ago who has been sent to modern times by an evil queen.

Dempsey’s other notable film roles include 2008’s Made of Honor, Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) and Bridget Jones’s Baby (2016).

Personal Life and Wife

Dempsey was married to actress and manager Rocky Parker from 1987 to 1994. He married make-up artist Jillian Fink in 1999; the couple has a daughter, Talula Fyfe, and twin boys, Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick. In January 2015, after nearly 15 years together, Fink filed for divorce but the couple reconciled later that year.

Besides acting and spending time with his family, Dempsey also loves to race cars.

Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey H’13 and Marcus Williams ’21 Discuss Disabilities and Success

Williams’s plan to call attention to learning disabilities by bringing in “McDreamy” (Dempsey’s nickname on Grey’s Anatomy) worked. Dempsey’s character in the show, Dr. Derek Shepherd, is a Bowdoin graduate, probably Class of 1988 or 1989—one of the reasons many here adore him. About an hour before the discussion began in Smith Union, students started staking out seats, bringing their computers to work on homework or eating dinners out of take-away boxes while they waited.

By 7:20 p.m., students were thronging all three levels of the Union. When Dempsey walked in, after sharing a meal with fifteen students—including several who are part of the Disabled Students Association—the crowd erupted into a roar.

After inviting the leaders of the Native American Student Association to offer a land acknowledgement, Wiliams and Dempsey began their discussion about what it was like for both of them to navigate the school system with dyslexia, and how they overcome their disability to succeed—Dempsey as a famous actor and philanthropist (and Bowdoin honorand), Williams as a student at a top-tier college.

They touched on how their disability, which makes it challenging to read and write, has actually served them. “It allows me to work from an emotional place as an actor and not rely on the words,” Dempsey said. “The scenes that work do so not because of what is being said but because of what is being felt.”

Williams said that while he might not have the tidiest grammar on his essays, he often comes up with creative arguments and unique ways to make them. “I try nuanced approaches to things,” he said. “That helps me get through and helps me excel in school.”

During the Q&A session that followed, Dempsey jumped up twice to give a couple of students bear hugs when he was moved by what they said. (He also jumped off his stool to give Williams’s mom, who traveled up from Boston for the event, a big hug.) He reiterated his message that everyone carries vulnerabilities—whether or not they have a disability—and that you can turn your own vulnerabilities into emotional strengths, by developing compassion, resilience, or creativity.

He also answered more lighthearted questions. He joked with one student who chided him for dying tragically on Grey’s Anatomy. “How could you have done that to me?” she wailed, admitting, “I”m still recovering.” Dempsey threw his head back and laughed. “So I could be here with you in the afterlife!” he rejoined. (And then he gave her a hug; she swooned.)

The morning after the event, Williams said he had received a flood of emails from students with disabilities who were grateful for the discussion. “I hope people came in for Patrick Dempsey but left with a new understanding that our school is filled with diverse people and people who have learning challenges—and to just be more aware of that,” Williams said. “And that they have a new perception of intelligence, or what they think a Bowdoin scholar is.”
