As the writer and director of the critically acclaimed films Get Out and Us, as well as the showrunner on CBS All Access’ new Twilight Zone reboot, Jordan Peele has seen his career skyrocket over the past few years. But while Jordan has majorly shot into the spotlight, he and his wife, comedian Chelsea Peretti, have managed to keep their relationship relatively private. Here, a deep-dive into the couple’s low-key love story.
2013: Jordan and Chelsea meet.
This funny couple’s love story began six years ago, when Jordan and Chelsea first met. Although rumors have swirled that Chelsea’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Andy Samberg was the one to initially set her up with Jordan, the comedian herself has said otherwise: In an October 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chelsea revealed that she initially met her hubby-to-be online.

2015: The couple gets engaged.
After two years of dating, Jordan and Chelsea decided to take the next step in their relationship. But there was no flashy engagement announcement for these two — instead, the couple casually announced their big news with two very low-key tweets.
At the same time on November 28, 2015, Chelsea wrote that her “fiancé @JordanPeele” had proposed, and Jordan simply tweeted her name and a ring emoji.
My fiancé (lololol) @JordanPeele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol 🌺❤️🌺

2016: Jordan and Chelsea announce that they have eloped.
Five months after their surprise engagement (and several wedding-themed commercials for Booking.com later), Jordan and Chelsea dropped another breaking-news bomb on their fans: They were married! Once again, however, the couple opted for a more subtle “announcement,” and Jordan casually slipped the big news into a sketch with his partner in (comedic) crime, Keegan-Michael Key, while on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Chelsea confirmed the announcement with a more transparent Instagram post the next day. “Eloped a little bit ago … our only witness was this little guy,” the comedian captioned a photo of a wedding bouquet, ring, and the couple’s dog.

2017: They welcome their first child together.
Just days after Beyoncé broke the internet with an Instagram post announcing she was pregnant with twins, Chelsea posted a hilarious photo to Instagram sharing that she and Jordan were expecting as well. The photo pictured Chelsea showing off her bump in a dark, mirrored room with the short ‘n’ sweet caption, “beyonce schmonce.” (LOL.)

A few months later, on July 1, 2017, the couple welcomed their first child together, a boy named Beaumont Gino Peele. And yes, Mom and Dad expect him to grow up just as funny as they are: “We’ve gotten such a warm reaction and people, I think correctly, are already observing that this child will be comedy gold,” Jordan told People during his wife’s pregnancy.
Today: Jordan and Chelsea continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
It’s no secret that Jordan’s career has blown up in the past few years, as he’s written, produced, and directed such critically acclaimed films and TV shows as Get Out, Us, and CBS’ The Twilight Zone. And Chelsea — who has several big projects of her own on the way — has been right by his side through it all.

“There is a lot of time you’ve got to put into coming to events and talking to people who are interested in the film,” Jordan told Us Weekly while at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards in January 2018. “I just couldn’t have asked for a more supportive partner, really. When it gets tough, I get to come home and have the funniest person in the world in the room with me. I am forever blessed.”

Chelsea Peretti announces pregnancy: ‘Beyonce schmonce’
This article originally appeared on PEOPLE.com.
Comedians Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti announced that they are expecting their first child together on Saturday. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress revealed that she was pregnant when she shared a photo of her baby bump inside a glittering mirror art installation.
“Beyonce schmonce,” she captioned the selfie, riffing off Beyoncé’s now iconic pregnancy announcement from earlier in the week.
Peretti and her Key and Peele husband have been together for over three years. In April 2016, Peele revealed that he and Peretti had eloped during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“I am married to actress Chelsea Peretti,” Peele said during a bit in which he and comedy partner Keegan-Michael Key shared trivia about each other to help people tell them apart.
“I am not married to actress to Chelsea Peretti, we are just dating,” Key joked – getting a dirty look from Peele.
Peretti confirmed the news on Instagram shortly after her husband’s appearance, sharing a shot of the couple’s adorable dog decked out in a Hawaiian shirt.
“Eloped a bit ago … our only witness was this lil guy,” she wrote.
Chelsea Peretti says ‘it wasn’t fully my decision’ to leave ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
Gina Linetti has said goodbye to the Nine-Nine for now, but actress Chelsea Peretti said that leaving “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” wasn’t solely her decision.
In an interview with TVLine published Thursday, the actress said it “wasn’t fully just my decision. It’s hard to get into the weeds of what exactly transpired and how it all shook out, but it kind of came together to be this timing that presented itself. So I kind of knew that it was going to be happening for a while… holding on to this feeling of, like, ‘I’m going away from this family’ in my head.”
She continued, “If you talk to anyone in acting — we didn’t even know if the show was going to be renewed or not — you’re always thinking what’s going to happen in your life. It’s the endless twists and turns of show business, and this is kind of how it wound up evolving.”
The 40-year-old actress gave a similar answer to The Hollywood Reporter when asked to clarify if it was her choice to leave or if producers were looking to write her out.
“That’s the part that I’m deliberately not clarifying because I feel like I can’t get into the exact breakdown ,” she said. “I’m just a lowly actor out here without much status. Everyone’s like, ‘Hey, do a bunch of interviews.’ And I’m like, ‘All right. I don’t know how to talk about it.’ But I feel like it’s one of those things … you write about Hollywood all the time. No one can ever fully say the whole story of what’s going on. But the gist is it was somewhat mutual. And it was amicable. That’s the best way I can put it.”
However, the cast and crew showed Peretti nothing but love on social media during Thursday’s episode, which revolved around her character’s exit from the police precinct.
“Tonight is one of my favorite eps we’ve ever done here at #brooklyn99. It’s all Gina, all the time!!!! Watch as @chelseaperetti shows once again why she’s one of the great,” creator Dan Goor wrote.
“We’ve known each other even longer, but I’ve been lucky enough to work with my friend, One Of The Greats, @chelseavperetti for six years. She’s so good at what she does,” actor Joe Lo Truglio wrote.
Peretti announced in October 2018 that she would be leaving the show, writing on Twitter at the time, “I won’t be doing a full season of ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’ in Season 6. But that doesn’t mean I won’t ever be back, winky face emoji, heart emoji. I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina be Gina.”
Peretti is set to appear in one more episode during Season 6, but she says there’s no guarantee fans will see Gina again after that.
“I think if the writers are talking about some direction they want to go and it involves my character then Dan will call me and we will talk about it. Aside from the number of episodes that are set for this season, there’s no guarantee. It’s kind of one of those, we will see what happens but the door isn’t closed,” she told EW.
NBC did not return our request for comment.

Although newborns may sleep around 16 hours per day in total, they may only go an hour or two without waking up, according to the Johns Hopkins Medical Library. It’s only around month two or three that babies start to sleep through the night. According to research published recently in Pediatrics, more than half of infants are sleeping through the night at 5 months. And by 6 months, about two-thirds of babies are able to snooze the whole night.
Peretti has also turned to social media to share her experiences with pregnancy and motherhood. Most recently, while attending the Golden Globe and SAG Awards, Peretti revealed that she had to take breaks from the glitzy ceremonies to pump her breastmilk. “Pumping at sag awards! forgot part of the pump and had to uber it from home. doing great at being a woman! sexy, maternal, excited and free. reflecting with each mechanical whir,” she captioned a selfie on Instagram last weekend. by Jasmine Grant 4/4/2017

One twitter fan, like many of us, wondered how Peele’s wife, comedian Chelsea Peretti, felt about her husband’s movie which stars a Black guy (Daniel Kaluuya) being preyed upon by his white girlfriend’s (Allison Wlliams) family.
