May 09, 2018 – 12:44 BST Laura Sutcliffe, Catherine Zeta-Jones uploaded a selfie to her Instagram account where the 48-year-old looked incredible after her makeup had been applied by Brett Freedman. Brad revealed the selection of makeup products he used on the wife of Michael Douglas – which included the ‘tiramisu’ lip liner by Rimmel which is priced at £2.99.

Catherine Zeta-Jones never fails to look stunning at all times, and on Tuesday evening the glamorous actress uploaded a smouldering selfie, where she looked as gorgeous as ever. The actress attended a Television Academy talk show, where she spoke about her new show, Cocaine Godmother. The 48-year-old shared a series of close up shots which showed her getting her makeup applied by Brett Freedman, makeup artist to the A-list. In the picture, the wife of Michael Douglas gazed at the camera, with her large brown eyes looking particularly striking having been outlined in a bold black liner and lashings of mascara.

A glowy base and terracotta lipstick completed her look. Brett shared a selection of products that he used on the Darling Buds of May star – which included a lip liner by Rimmel London, which costs just £2.99! Catherine’s hair also looked amazing – having been styled in an ultra-sleek and straight style which looked impossibly glossy.

Brett called Catherine’s latest look ‘Honey dipped glam’ and revealed everything that he used on The Mask of Zorro star: “I used the Chanel matte bronzer (No. 50) in hollows of cheeks & encased her eyes.”

Brett added: “I used the NYX Wonder Pencil (Medium) outside of lip line to create a crisp pop of subtle definition. Products: MAC shimmer eye liner (Teddy), my Laser Brow pencil, Rimmel lip liner (Tiramisu), Ardell individual lashes (mix of Short & Medium), my Gloss-a-holic lip sheer (Honey), Viva Liberata Body Blur (Latte), Shadow Shields to keep it all tidy and my fave cheek color brush by Honest Beauty.”

Although the selfie showed Catherine at her most glamorous, she has been known to show her skin in its purest form on many occasions – most noticeably last year, when she bared all – sharing a shot of her makeup free skin on Instagram. She looked amazingly youthful and fans applauded her refreshing attitude.

It’s easy to assume that an A-list celebrity has access to every high-end, luxe makeup and skin care product that seems far out of reach for the general population. So, it’s always a delightful surprise to learn when one of the biggest stars in the world uses something you can grab on your next drugstore run. Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman gave budget-friendly fans a treat by sharing the details of CZJ’s smoky-eye look and revealing that the products he used to create her “honey dipped” nude lip costs less than $5.

While doing Zeta-Jones’ glam for her appearance for at the Television Academy to talk about her new televised film Cocaine Godmother, Freedman documented the process and listed all of the products he used to create a “nude/dewy glam.” Most notable in the mix of prestige and affordable cosmetics is the $4 price tag on her nude liner—Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Tiramisu.

To perfect her lip look, Freedman grabbed another favorite budget brand’s concealer, the NYX Wonder Pencil ($5) in Medium. Using the concealer to draw around the outside of the mouth, Freedman says he added this step to “create a crisp pop of subtle definition.”

Topping it off with his own lip gloss, you’d never know this dewy look was the least bit frugal, after all Zeta-Jones walked the red carpet looking like a million bucks.

This serum, which you apply before your moisturiser morning and night, works to smooth the appearance of irritation and reduces the look of redness, leaving your face supple and hydrated. The price tag is a hefty £280 for a 100ml bottle, but a little goes a long way. For those of you who don’t know, the Concentrate is famously made up of La Mer’s special “miracle broth” which supports skin’s natural renewal process, and what’s more, it’s paraben free with no artificial ingredients.

Although the former Darling Buds of May star clearly has a penchant for luxury skincare, she is partial to a makeup bargain. In May, the glamorous actress uploaded a smouldering selfie to Instagram ahead of a TV appearance, and Catherine’s makeup was applied by Brett Freedman, who has a huge list of celebrity clients.

When Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a glimpse of her favourite beauty products with the world, we were kind of hoping to discover that she achieves her flawless looks with a cheap moisturiser we could all pick up in Superdrug.

Sadly not.

The star took to Instagram recently to share her beauty cabinet, and it’s crammed with lots of expensive goodies, including a £418 décolleté cream and £288 moisturiser.

In fact the cheapest thing in Catherine’s bathroom cabinet is her deodorant, and even that’s fairly pricey, at £7.

According to the Daily Mail, which has done the detective work on identifying these products, the entire contents is worth more than £2,000.

Among the more affordable products are Lancome’s Bi-Facil Cleanser, £26, which removes makeup including waterproof mascara, Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, £40, which is perfect when you need a really deep clean and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, £27, which has won cult status among makeup artists and supermodels since its launch in 1930.

As for the more expensive items, these include Le Metier De Beaute Neck and Decollete Firming Cream, £418, Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Face Cream, £153 and Cle De Peau Beaute Energising Cream, £120.

Now we’ve had a glimpse inside Catherine’s skincare regime, all we really want to know is how she chooses what to put on her face everyday out of this huge selection!
