Carbona Oxy-Powered 2-in-1 Carpet Cleaner, 27.5 Ounces – Pack of 2

Ok so, my story starts off with a brand new car with light beige fabric seats. I volunteer to drive my friends on a little hour-long trip but I tell them that there’s no drinks aloud unless it’s water… we stop at a gas station and one girl decided to sneak a large cup of soda into my car (the kind with a lid and straw… so not even a bottle). And yes, she literally sneaked it in, hiding it behind her back while I was filing up my car, then again hiding it under her jacket.
When we got there, she decided to leave that cup of soda under her jacket ON THE SEAT… which of course fell over and spilled every where. She then tried to cover that up with other stuff so I wouldn’t see… that other stuff being MY CLOTHING. I had done nothing to this girl to deserve this, she was just quite dumb (any many ways more than just this). Great friend right?
Anyway get to the point right? The soda left a huge stain on my seat. I took it to get it detailed and to professional stain removers but nobody could get the stain out. I also tried various stain removers over the period of 7 entire years… the stain remained. On top of that, some other friends decided to spill a number of other liquids in my car including (but not limited to) coffee, Gatorade, more soda, red bull, other energy drinks, etc… 7 years is a lot of time to spill stuff and apparently half of my friends are full grown toddlers.
Some stains came out with other stain removers but MANY of them decided they wanted to liver there forever.
I purchased this stuff to remove stains from my rug, which… wow. totally worked and the rugs look like they’re brand new. BUT I decided to also give it a try on my car seats. First I vacuumed all the loose stuff up, then (in sections) I scrubbed everything with a damp cloth and then (again, in small sections) started to vigorously scrub everything with this stuff. I let it sit for the suggested 3 minutes and then cleaned it off with the damp sponge and… to my ABSOLUTE amazement… EVERY. SINGLE. STAIN. WAS GONE!!!……. I love my car… and I hated that it had accumulated so many stains… but now it LITERALLY looks like it’s brand new again and I was so happy about this that I literally couldn’t stop thinking about it and smiling the entire day…. and I just noticed I’ve been smiling while even writing this review, ha.
I was seriously shocked when I saw that the stains were gone. 7 ENTIRE YEARS (some of) these stains have been here… I thought I had tried everything. I am SO GLAD I came across this stuff. Honestly I didn’t expect it to do anything but wow… this stuff is magical wizard sauce. The hairy potter of the stain-removing world…. “stainus repellus!” is what I’m going to scream every time I apply this stuff from now on (what on earth am I talking about I haven’t even seen all the hairy potter movies )… sorry I get excited with things work this well. Anyway, this will DEFINITELY be my go-to stain remover forever more. Couldn’t be happier with this stuff! 🙂

  • The carpets in our homes add style and keep our feet warm but they take lots of abuse and spills. What’s the best cleaner to keep them stain-free?
  • Carbona 2 in 1 Oxy Powered Carpet Cleaner, with a built-in scrubbing applicator and active foam technology, can tackle whatever hits the carpet.

Whether your carpet is a plush wall-to-wall installation or an accent area rug, it’s going to get dirty. Accidents happen: We dribble drinks, drop food, startle a pet, and simply bring in soil on our shoes. Replacing carpeting is expensive and unfeasible, so when stains happen, we need to use the best products available to tackle the problem.

There are three basic types of stains: water-based, organic, and oil-based. Food and drinks are the main culprits for water-based stains, but if it’s addressed immediately with an oxidized, water-soluble cleaner, these stains are among the easiest to remove.

Organic stains are the bodily fluids excreted by pets and humans. These stains need an enzyme-based stain remover to literally consume the protein stain and odor molecules. Finally, there are oil-based stains that require a solvent to break apart the grease molecules so that they can be lifted away from the carpet fibers. This is one of the hardest stains to remove because the majority of carpets sold today are made from petroleum-based fibers like polyester and olefin that trap and hold onto grease molecules.

With any type of carpet stain, there are several steps to take for successful removal.

  • Identify the stain: Knowing what caused the stain will help you select the best cleaner.
  • Act as quickly as possible: Fresh stains are much easier to remove than older, set-in stains.
  • Use the right tools: In addition to using the best stain remover, always use a white cloth or paper towels to blot and treat the stains. Colored cloths and napkins can transfer dye to the carpet giving you another difficult stain to remove.
  • Rinse the treated area: Once the stain has vanished, be sure to blot the area with a cloth dipped in plain water to rinse away any cleaning product residue. If soapy products are left, they can actually attract soil. Your carpet could actually look dirtier than before you cleaned it.

Regular vacuuming and stain removal can help a carpet look better and last longer. Fortunately, there are products available that do a great job in removing stains from carpet. During my testing, I must say that finding stains to treat was not difficult. With a pet, a toddling grandson, and my own clumsiness, I had loads of opportunity to find the products that are the most effective, easiest to use, and offer the best value for your money when removing stains from carpets and area rugs. And, another little tip: These stain removers work well on most upholstery fabric.
