Hollis Johnson/Business Insider

  • Black Friday is a great time to shop for all sorts of electronics, particularly laptops from Apple that are otherwise rare to find at discounts quite this steep.
  • The MacBook Air and the 13-, 15.4-, and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are all on sale for Black Friday 2019.
  • You can get the 2019 MacBook Air on sale for $899.99 (a savings of $200). This isn’t quite the amazing $799 deal of a few days ago, but it’s close to the iconic price attached to the original model for years.
  • Additionally, the now discontinued 2019 15.4-inch MacBook Pro deals are also epic — you can get one for $1,999, which amounts to a discount of $400.

Black Friday is officially here, and it’s undoubtedly the best time of year to pick up a new MacBook on a sweet discount.

Whether it’s the brand-new MacBook Air or one of the many different MacBook Pro laptops you’re looking to save some cash on, there are discounts aplenty.

In terms of brand-new products, we’re surprisingly seeing deep price cuts on 2019 MacBook Air models. With sale prices starting at $899.99, you can get the new Air for close to the same reasonable price as the original model. The historically low price arguably made the original Air among the most iconic laptops in history.

There are also some great deals on the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and incredible deals on the now discontinued 15.4-inch MacBook Pro, which was just replaced by the brand-new 16-inch model with its much-improved keyboard. Luckily, the new 16-inch laptop is also getting decent discounts.

Regardless of which type of MacBook you’re looking for, now is the time to save big on your next Apple laptop, and honestly, one of the only times of the year we see any MacBook deals at all.

Best MacBook deals for Black Friday 2019:

All of these MacBook deals also come with one year of the Apple TV Plus streaming service free, a promotion that Apple is pushing across almost all of its retail partners and in-store.

Apple is also running a shopping event on Black Friday, during which you’ll get up to a $200 gift card when you buy select products. If you buy a MacBook Air, you’ll get a $100 Apple Store gift card, and if you get a MacBook Pro or iMac, you’ll get a $200 Apple Store gift card.

Keep this article bookmarked throughout the Black Friday shopping season, as we’ll be updating it regularly with the latest MacBook deals and keep scrolling to read more about why the best deals are worth your time and money.

Cyber Monday is over, but there are still great deals to be had on electronics and technology. If you’re thinking about gifting someone a new laptop or headphones for the holidays, you’ll want to check out the sales that are still happening on Apple products.

The company’s “Four Days of Special Offers” shopping event, which offers up to $200 worth of Apple store gift cards with select purchases, is officially over — but if you’re still on the hunt for discounts, your best bet is to check out Amazon and Walmart’s deals on Apple products.

MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is a lightweight portable powerhouse of a laptop with a lower entry price that doesn’t leave you with an underpowered spec. That said, once you start hitting the $1,500 / £1,500 price mark in these Cyber Monday MacBook deals, you might be better off with the internal configurations of a MacBook Pro model if you’re not fussed about the slimline design of the Air.

This is Apple’s most affordable laptop but still keeps an 8th generation i5 processor under the hood and options of 128GB / 256GB / 512GB SSD storage and 8GB / 16GB of RAM.

The super thin design allows for the Retina True Tone display to shine, while keeping the laptop’s weight to an incredible 2.75 pounds (1.25kg).

MacBook Pro

The more powerful Macbook Pro now comes in three distinct sizes – 13-inch, 15-inch, and the 2019 16-inch model. You can also find 2018 versions of the smaller options for a little less in these Cyber Monday MacBook deals. While Apple might not be stocking the middling 15-inch model anymore, plenty of retailers will still have the conventionally sized MacBook on offer.

There’s more than screen size to think about here, however. The smallest model runs with a quad-core 8th generation i5-i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. In comparison, the 15-inch model typically comes with either a 6-core 9th generation i7 processor and 256GB SSD storage or an 8-core 9th generation i9 processor with 512GB SSD storage. The 16-inch MacBook Pro model comes with the same processor offerings but also massive 1-8TB options for your SSD and improved AMD Radeon Pro 5300M – 5500M graphics.

Whatever specs you choose, you’re still getting a gorgeous Retina display with True Tone, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the Touch Bar as standard. That said, the 13-inch model is only a very minor improvement over the previous year’s installment, so if you see a 2018 MacBook Pro going for significantly less, it’s a good idea to snap it up.

MacBook Pro 13-inch (2019) 128GB | $1,299 $1,199 at B&H

MacBook Pro (2018)

Last year’s 2018 MacBook Pro carries many of the same specs as this year’s model. Available in Silver or Space Gray, the 13-inch / 15-inch luxury laptop is favored by those looking to multitask in an intuitively designed digital space directly integrated with all your favorite Apple products. The 2018 model comes with a configurable SSD that can go from 256GB all the way to 2TB should you wish to pay for it.

With very similar specs to this year’s MacBook Pro, there’s no hard and fast rule for choosing the older model to save some cash. Indeed, we’ve been seeing the 2019 MacBook Pro reach prices slightly lower than that of the 2018 version so you’ll really have to pay attention to the specs you’re getting when you spot a deal.

Which Black Friday MacBook deal should I buy?

Apple’s price tags have historically soared above those of their competition, so Cyber Monday MacBook deals may be your best shot at owning a luxury computer before the end of the year. This is the last chance retailers will get to push the older 2018 MacBook Pro and Air models before 2020 comes around, so expect savings across the range.

The 2018 MacBook Pro model isn’t seeing a lot of deals so far, particularly because of how similar it is to the 2019 range. This assimilation isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as we may see retailers attempting to shift stock of their older models more over the coming week.

If you’re looking for a cheaper option, it’s almost always a better idea to go for one of Apple’s 13-inch models. Though less powerful than their larger-display siblings, the 13-inch laptops are more than capable of handling a few high-performance apps and keep their portability at the same time. If you’re looking for something to handle a wider range of apps for media editing, however, you might want to take a look at the turbo-powered 15-inch models with their higher-performing processors and extra storage options.

So this Cyber Monday looks set to be an exciting one for fans of Apple’s range of sleek yet super-powered laptops. Cyber Monday MacBook deals are historically some of the most sought after discounts, so expect plenty of competition as stock levels fall over the weekend. To help keep you ahead of the game, we’re keeping this page updated with all the latest deals as soon as they come in so stay tuned.

How to get the best Cyber Monday MacBook deals

Apple itself will rarely offer substantial discounts on their hardware, with MacBooks being an area they seem to be most stubborn on. Instead, you can expect to find the usual Apple gift cards or software bundles being included in the usual MacBook price over the Cyber Monday week. If you’re looking for solid money off, you’d be better off checking in with the retailers.

If you’re in the US, it will be worth remembering that B&H went all out last year on their Cyber Monday MacBook deals so keep an eye on them. If you’re in the UK, be sure to check out Laptops Direct for MacBook deals similar to last year’s savings. Make sure you’re also keeping tabs on all the usual suspects as well; Amazon as well as Best Buy and Walmart in the US and Currys, John Lewis, and Argos in the UK.

When you’re shopping for your MacBook Cyber Monday deals, it’s important to know what you want to buy and what you are buying. MacBook Pro and Air models often range in their specs on different websites, so it’s worth double-checking the amount of storage as well as the processor included in your deal, otherwise you might not be getting as much of a bargain as you think.

If you’re not seeing a deal to suit you this Cyber Monday, why not check out our best Cyber Monday laptop deals for a wider range of models and specs, plus it can’t hurt to scope out the competition. If you’re looking for more ways to integrate your new MacBook into your everyday life, you should also keep an eye on these Cyber Monday AirPods deals as well as the best Apple Watch Cyber Monday sales we’ve come across. We’re also staying on top of all the best Cyber Monday iPad deals to further expand your productivity within Apple’s offerings.

We’ll be tracking all the latest Cyber Monday MacBook deals over the big weekend, so be sure to bookmark this page to stay on top of all the latest sales as soon as they start!

Finding a deal on a MacBook isn’t easy. They’re high-end machines, and Apple keeps a pretty tight watch on how they are priced around the internet. On top of that, there is a large selection of models, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and 12-inch MacBook, as well as different sizes and configurations to consider.

Throw in the confusing way these products are often labeled on retailers’ websites — as well as the countless used and refurbished models available — and you’ve got a thorough mess. Not to mention the many cheap iPhone and iPad deals there are to consider.

The best MacBook deals

MacBook Air deals

Before 2018, the MacBook Air hadn’t received a serious update for many years. The iconic silver look may have been revolutionary in 2012, but its thick bezels and lower-resolution screen had become outdated over the years. Even though Apple still sells this version, we only recommend it to people with fairly low computing needs. The fifth-generation Intel processor and DDR3 RAM in the 2017 model will make any kind of significant multitasking or heavy software extremely difficult. Still, it is technically the cheapest way into the Mac ecosystem, and that’ll be enough to attract some buyers.

If you’re in the market for an older model so you can save some cash, the 2017 MacBook Air below is going for $620, saving you $579.

Riley Young/Digital Trends

Fortunately, toward the end of 2018, Apple finally gave the MacBook Air a complete makeover, bringing it up to speed with the rest of its MacBooks. This new version has a new look — thinner bezels, a smaller chassis, higher-resolution display, only USB-C, and a few more color options like gold and space gray. It also has some of the mainstays of modern Apple laptops such as the low-travel keyboard, oversized trackpad, and Touch ID fingerprint scanner.

While this is still one of the slower options for MacBooks, the 2018 Air does have completely updated specs, which now include an 8th-gen Core i5 dual-core processor. We found it more than capable of handling day-to-day tasks, just don’t expect to be editing 4K video on it. It has the best battery life of all the MacBooks, and also comes with the lowest starting price of $1,099 — reduced from $1,199 by Apple in 2019.

If you’re in the market for the latest MacBook Air from 2018, it’s on sale for $815, which is a full $384 less than Apple’s price. This deal gets you an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.

MacBook deals

In July 2019, Apple stopped selling the 12-inch MacBook on its website and in its stores, but you can still get it from third-party resellers. There are plenty of reasons to opt for it, too. Compared to the Air, not only is the MacBook’s screen smaller, but the device is also extremely thin and light. It hasn’t been updated since 2017, but it has the modern Mac look, including the large trackpad, butterfly-style keyboard, Retina display, and simplified port selection. Aside from a headphone jack, the laptop comes with just a single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port. That means you can’t plug in a wired mouse and power at the same time, for example, unless you have an adapter.

The most recent version from 2017 received a bump to dual-core, seventh-generation Kaby Lake Intel processors. Like the MacBook Air, we found it to be fast enough to get through a normal day of productivity and web browsing. We’d recommend the 2018 MacBook Air to most people, but for those who want the absolute smallest, most portable MacBook, this is your best option.

Amazon is currently selling the 2015 12-inch MacBook for $605 — netting you a huge $994 off — which gets you an Intel Core m-5Y51 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

MacBook Pro (16-inch) deals

It had been rumored for months, but there was still a sense of excitement when Apple finally unveiled the 16-inch MacBook Pro in mid-November 2019. Many of the rumored features — the higher-resolution display, the new keyboard, and the Navi graphics — proved to be correct.

That means this is the biggest upgrade to the MacBook Pro line since it was totally redesigned in 2016. It takes features that had become standard in the MacBook Pro 15, like the Touch Bar and UBS-C ports, and adds all-new features. For example, you can give it an 8TB SSD, the largest SSD available in any laptop. Or if you need a huge amount of memory, there’s a 64GB RAM option. If you’re a pro and need power, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is the one to get.

Incredibly, the deals have started already. Amazon is offering $210 off the cheapest 16-inch MacBook Pro, bringing its price down to $2,189. You get a 9th-generation 6-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and an AMD Radeon Pro 5300M graphics card.

MacBook Pro (13-inch) deals

Digital Trends

With its more powerful specs, the MacBook Pro represents the top of the MacBook lineup. These are laptops for people who want to run heavy applications such as Photoshop or Lightroom — or even just for people who want to multitask like nobody’s business. However, there are several important distinctions you should be aware of, even concerning the 13-inch models.

Apple has now added the Touch Bar to all of its 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro models. The Touch Bar is a slim OLED touchscreen that takes the place of the function keys and is purpose-built for navigating MacOS and its software. That addition means your main decision now comes down to internal specs and ports, as well as the size of the chassis. Apple updated almost the entire MacBook Pro range in 2019, bringing 8th- and 9th-generation Intel processors, including eight-core chips to the 15-inch Pro for the first time.

Right now, Amazon is doing a great deal on one of Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro models from 2017 by knocking a whopping $549 off the price. For $750 you get a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory, a 128GB SSD, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. It’s a great deal if you want to save yourself some cash by going without the Touch Bar.

If you want the latest MacBook Pro from 2019, we’ve got you covered there too. Apple updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 to come with the latest-generation Intel processors, with slight speed bumps to both the base clock and Turbo Boost speeds.

With the MacBook Pro 16 coming out, prices of older MacBook Pro models have been slashed. You can now save an enormous $900 on the high-end 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar from 2016, bringing its price down to $899. That gives you a dual-core 2.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. You also get the Touch Bar with this model, giving you extra functionality and quick shortcuts.

MacBook Pro (15-inch) deals

Now that the 16-inch MacBook Pro has replaced its 15-inch sibling, we should start to see some excellent deals appearing for the MacBook Pro 15 as retailers sell off their stock. That’s great news because this is still an excellent laptop to get if you want a good helping of power and portability. The 15-inch MacBook Pro not only has the fastest processors, but it also includes discrete graphics. You can pair up an eight-core Core i9 processor and an AMD Vega 20 GPU, which should handily push through high-resolution video renders and graphics modeling with ease. All versions of the 15-inch MacBook Pro also come with the Touch Bar and four Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports.

In May 2019, it was updated with new processors and a tweaked keyboard. The 2019 model now comes with ninth-generation processors up to the whopping eight-core Core i9 for some serious power. And the deals have started rolling in for the latest version, including the corker we’ve found below.

The price of the 15-inch MacBook Pro normally makes it a tough sell, but not anymore — the price of 2016’s high-end model has been slashed by a huge $1,550, bringing it down to $1,249. What do you get with it? A quad-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD and a Radeon Pro 455 graphics card.

Best Apple MacBook deals for 2019: Last-minute discounts on Air and Pro models

Sarah Tew/CNET

The best deals on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro have come and gone, but there are a still a few bright spots out there. Walmart is offering a $130 discount on the 2019 MacBook Air — this is the model that was just released in July — leaving the starting price for the 128GB model at $970. And B&H Photo has the step-up 256GB model for $1,100.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro has returned to its more modest sale price of $1,200, with the 256GB version now back to selling for $1,300. And Amazon continues to offer a $200 discount on the new 16-inch MacBook Pro. It now starts at $2,199.

The 2018 MacBook Air deals appear to be gone for now, with that particular model out of stock in most stores. That noted, we continue to see what looks like a compelling deal on the previous MacBook Air model for $700. But it’s actually the previous, previous model — from 2017. Don’t buy it. Spend $200 more on the most recent one from July.

Apple is still throwing in a free year of its forthcoming Apple TV Plus service with every purchase of a MacBook Air, regardless of where you buy it. And note that this deal also extends to any new or refurbished iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac or iPod Touch.

We’re back to a relatively modest $130 discount on the 2019 MacBook Air. Note that this is the brand-new model with the Retina True Tone display that Apple released in July. We’ve seen this model routinely on sale for $900, so it might be worth waiting for a bigger discount to come back around. Read our 2019 MacBook Air preview.

B&H continues its solid discount on the step-up version of the 2019 MacBook Air with 256GB of storage. Read our 13-inch MacBook Air preview.

B&H Photo has trimmed $100 off the price of the 128GB version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro released earlier this year. You can also score $100 off the 256GB model though that pales in comparison to the $250 discount B&H was offering for a few weeks. Read our 2019 13-inch MacBook Pro preview.

As Apple’s greatest-hits compilation of MacBook features, the new 16-inch MacBook Pro features a bigger screen, with a higher resolution; upgrades to processor, GPU, RAM and storage options; and a much-improved keyboard. Amazon is currently offering the biggest discount we’ve seen to date. Read our 16-inch MacBook Pro review.

Apple might be pushing out into services and streaming television these days, but hardware still represents an absolutely core part of its business – and these devices aren’t going to drop in popularity any time soon.

Check back often on this page too, because prices are shifting all the time as new products appear. We had the iPhone 11 handsets, Apple Watch Series 5 and new cheaper iPad unveiled only recently, which of course had a knock-on effect on the pricing of older iPhones, watches and iPads.

Apple’s iconic smartphone continues to go from strength to strength, with the newest iPhone 11 handsets – as you would expect – the best ones yet. They’ve got more camera lenses, more power, a stylish new look, and even a new colour choice or two. For something a little cheaper, the old models are still well worth a look.

The Apple Watch has proven to be a bigger hit than anyone imagined, dominating sales not only of smartwatches, but watches of all kinds. It’s the best smartwatch on the market, mixing great fitness features with really useful app and notification support, plus some health feature that could genuinely save your life. The Apple iPad line continues to impress and surprise us, from the high-end, minimal-bezel iPad Pros, to the everyday functionality of the entry-level iPad – all now running iPadOS of course, which makes the line between tablet and laptop more blurred than it’s ever been. Check out the best iPad deals we’ve got below.

The best iPad mini 4 deals for January 2020

Although Apple no longer makes the mega-useful iPod Shuffle or the not-so-useful iPod nano, the iPod touch lives on with broadly the same internals as the iPhone 6.

The iPod touch has been improved recently though – it has doubled in capacity to 32GB and 128GB. There’s an 8-megapixel camera, A8 processor plus the M8 motion coprocessor and a 4-inch retina display.

The iPod touch is available in space grey, silver, gold, pink and blue.

Best MacBook Air deals for January 2020

The Air was last given a boost in June this year with new Intel processors and graphics.

The rest of the specs are unchanged from the 2016 model, which itself only added an extra 4GB of RAM (to 8GB) across the board.

It has a great heritage as the ultimate ultra-portable and it has been more than eight years since Steve Jobs stood on stage and pulled one out of a manilla envelope. The lineup only includes the 13.3-inch model now, as the 12-inch MacBook took the place of the tiny 11-inch Air.

When choosing an Air you can still opt for one of the older models by shopping in the Apple refurb store, a wise option if you really are limited on cash but know you want a little Apple laptop.

Best MacBook Pro deals for January 2020

The Touch bar will generally cost you an extra £300. It’s an OLED strip of app-specific controls called the Touch Bar. This replaces the line of function keys with a row of context-sensitive shortcuts for use in most apps.

15-inch MacBook Pro deals (with Touch Bar) for January 2020

For the most power, as well as screen real estate, you’ll want the 15-inch model. Starts at £2,349 for the 2.6GHz Core i7 with a blisteringly fast 256GB SSD and Radeon Pro 450 graphics with 2GB memory. Max out everything on offer and you could pay around £4,000.

MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina display (early 2015) deals for January 2020

Newer MacBooks may be more portable, but this is still a powerful laptop. The new MacBook Pro for 2015 didn’t undergo a dramatic reimagining, but then there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with it in the first place. Improvements to its performance mean it’s better value than before, and the noticeably improved battery life makes it even more of a mobile workhorse. As ever the cost of adding memory and storage soon sends the price tag into orbit, but even the stock MacBook Pro is an incredibly versatile computer and arguably Apple’s best ever laptop.

MacBook Pro 15-inch with Retina display (2015) deals for January 2020

Take a look at the seriously impressive specs of the 2015 model 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. The Intel Core i7 2.5 Ghz processor combined with 16GB of RAM will make light work of anything you can throw at it. 512GB of super fast flash storage, a new Force Touch trackpad and that incredible four million pixel-packing display make this one of the best laptops in the business.

MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina display (2014) deals for January 2020

There’s plenty to like on the 2014 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display: from the still-impressive display to its excellent build quality, great keyboard and good (but not excellent) battery life. It may not be as portable as the MacBook Air, but it’s far from cumbersome and its top notch build quality means you won’t be worried about its welfare when carrying it around.

21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K display deals for January 2020

Ever since the famous Bondi Blue iMac debuted way back in 1998, Apple’s all-in-one desktop computer has been setting standards in gorgeous design and powerful performance.

These days Apple is again pushing boundaries with the iMac, blessing all of its 27-inch models with the world’s best display, which has a massive 5K (5120×2880) resolution and a wider colour gamut than previous models.

Earlier this year there were several updates to the ‘standard’ iMac range. We’re talking better screens, more memory, the latest Intel Kaby Lake 7th gen processors, more storage and two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3.

There’s also a retina 4K display and discrete graphics added to the £1,249 21.5-inch iMac.

27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display deals for January 2020

Apple truly redefined the concept of an ultra-portable notebook in 2014 when it released a 12-inch Retina laptop that was just 13.1mm thick!

Despite being the baby of the MacBook family, in many ways it’s a grown-up MacBook Air, designed to be used anywhere, all day and with a new ‘butterfly’ mechanism keyboard that’s better for long periods of typing.

The MacBook was updated in early 2016 with slightly improved specs and a new Rose Gold colour (also available in Gold, Silver and Space Grey) before getting a mid-2017 spec bump as well.

Weighing in under a kilo, it’s Apple’s most lightweight laptop but still packs in a 226ppi pixel density in its 12-inch Retina display. It also features a Force Touch trackpad, which can trigger different responses as you apply more pressure.

The best Mac mini deals for January 2020

After Mac OS for the cheapest price possible? Already got a monitor (and keyboard and mouse) you can use?

Then it’s worth considering the Mac mini. It isn’t the fastest, but it costs less than half of the other Macs. The point of the Mac Mini is that it’s, well, mini – we’ve seen bigger hard drives than the modest footprint of the sleek silver box.

At 7.7 inches square and just 1.4 inches deep, the Mac Mini won’t strike many as a computer at all. The minimalist design with all sockets hidden at the back mean it’s one of the most stylish gadgets Apple make. As a trendy metallic square for your home office, it looks the part and is rugged.

Small and powerful, there’s little the Mac Mini can’t do for general users and a lot it can do for pro users with a few upgrades. You can actually spec out a Mac mini to a pretty high level (for an extra price of course), and it’s actually a perfect option for some.

Here are the best Mac mini deals available right now:

Best Mac mini deals for January 2020

By Karen Haslam | 03 Jan 20

Fancy a new Mac mini? You don’t have to pay full price! We’ve scoured the web for the best deals on a Mac mini so you can save money on a new Mac.

When you are looking for a good deal on a new Mac, the first thing to do is to check what the price would be if you bought from Apple, rather than assuming that the reseller selling you a Mac is quoting the correct price.

Also, remember that once a new model is launched Apple usually sells it for the same price as the previous generation, so, with the price of a new model in mind, a small discount on an old model may not look so attractive. This is why we always quote the price that Apple sells the equivalent model for today.

It’s also worth noting how old a particular model is. It’s more than a year since Apple updated the Mac mini, so we could be seeing an update soon, and if new models arrive you might find even better discounts on the older models.

However, we’d advise you avoid doing so right now as the previous range of Mac mini models dates back to 2014. Apple went for a number of years without updating the Mac mini.

Best Mac mini deals right now

If you carry on reading we have some great deals on the Mac mini below, including:

Make sure you check out our complete round up of the best Apple deals we’ve seen.

Mac mini price

As we said above, before judging how good a deal is you need to know the price Apple sells the Mac mini models for right now:

You can order a Mac mini directly from Apple.

The Mac mini is a great choice because it’s the cheapest Mac you can get and yet it’s also one of the more powerful models. The only thing to bear in mind is that you will need to purchase a separate screen, mouse and keyboard, but perhaps you already have those.

With some great discounts available, buying a Mac mini is without a doubt the cheapest way to get a Mac. If you’d like some help to choose the best Mac for you, read our Mac buying guide where we cover all the models.

Carry on reading to see the best deals on a new Mac mini right now.

Here are some of the best deals on the current crop of Mac mini models. You can expect to find great deals on brand-new Macs at Apple Premium Reseller KRCS, while Currys PC World, John Lewis and Laptops Direct have discounts on some of Apple’s older models.

Best Mac Desktop Deals

In this section you will find some of the best deals we’ve seen for iMacs as well as the Mac mini and other Mac desktops. We update this list weekly, so it should always be spot on in terms of how much you can save, give or take a few pounds. (Retailers often make small tweaks to the price, so if it’s gone up it might be worth waiting a week or so to see if it comes down again.)

1. Apple 27in iMac, 3.0GHz six-core, 5K Retina Display, 1TB Fusion Drive (2019)

From: Laptops Direct

Was: £1,749

Now: £1,579.79 (£169 off)

View Deal

Get money off the new 2019 27in iMac with Laptops Direct. This is 2019’s 3.0GHz six-core model with 1TB Fusion drive that normally costs £1,749.

It’s also worth tracking Amazon’s offering as they often match Laptop Directs’s prices.

2. Apple 21.5in iMac, 3.6GHz quad-core, 4K Retina Display, 1TB Hard Drive (2019)

From: John Lewis

Was: £1,249

Now: £1,100 (£149 off)

View Deal

John Lewis has money off the 2019 3.6GHz quad-core iMac (£1,249 at Apple). This model isn’t the cheapest iMac – Apple still sells a 2017 model at the entry-level, but with this price cut this Mac is much better value than the entry-level model.

Laptops Direct also discounts this model and sometimes has a bigger discount here (although not right now).

3. Apple 21.5in iMac, 3.0GHz six-core, 4K Retina Display, 1TB Fusion Drive (2019)

From: Laptops Direct

Was: £1,449

Now: £1,319.97 (£129.03 off)

View Deal

This is the top of the range 21.5in iMac for 2019 – and you can save a decent amount. Given that the specs of this machine are identical to the entry-level 27in model (which costs £1,749 normally, and sure, has a bigger screen), this is a pretty good deal.

Amazon and Currys also have deals on this model, but right now they are a few pounds more – but we recommend checking as the three companies tend to price match each other.

4. Apple 27in iMac, 3.7GHz six-core, 5K Retina Display, 2TB Fusion Drive (2019)

From: Currys PC World

Was: £2,249

Now: £2,129 (£120 off)

View Deal

Save money on the 2019 iMac with this deal from Currys PC World. It’s better than the firm’s advertised discount because this is the top-of-the-range £2,249 model.

5. Apple iMac Pro, 3.2GHz, 8-core Xeon, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 5K Retina display (late 2017)

From: KRCS

Was: £4,899.00

Now: £4,605.06 (£293.94 off)

View Deal

KRCS is offering almost £300 off the iMac Pro. You can also spread the cost with 10 months interest-free credit on Mac’s over £1,000. Check out our iMac Pro review.

6. Apple Mac mini, 3.0GHz 6-core, 256GB (2018)

From: Laptops Direct

Was: £1,099

Now: £999.97 (£99.03 off)

View Deal

Laptops Direct is offering the newest 2018 Mac mini (with a 256GB SSD and i5 processor, so not the entry-level model) for under £1,000 – a nice deal. It normally costs £1,099.

7. Apple Mac mini, 3.6GHz quad-core, 128GB (2018)

From: Amazon

Was: £799

Now: £713 (£86 off)

View Deal

This is a small but decent saving on the price of the 2018 quad-core 3.6GHz Mac mini. (FYI, we’ve seen this particular model discounted more on Amazon, so it might be worth waiting a week or two for bigger discounts – Amazon and Laptops Direct chase each other’s prices on this one.)

8. Apple Refurbished Mac Store (Discounted iMacs, MacBooks and more)

From: Apple

Now: Up to £300 off

View Deal

You can get a Mac from Apple at much lower prices if you buy from the Refurbished Store. Apple will have thoroughly tested the model and will offer you a full warranty so it can be a great way to get a good deal. Find out more about Refurbished Macs here.

9. Apple 21.5in iMac, 2.3GHz dual-core, 1TB HD (2017)

From: Amazon

Was: £1,049

Now: £949.98 (£99.02 off)

View Deal

Get the entry-level iMac for less than £1,000 with this Amazon deal (which is about £20 better than it was at the start of May 2019). But remember, this model lacks a Retina display and hasn’t been updated since 2017 – and if you look for a discount on a different model from the 2017 iMac range you will be getting a much better deal.

(*) How to apply the Apple promo code at Adorama

  1. Make sure you’re using a browser with cookies enabled that isn’t in private mode.
  2. Click on the price link to the desired configuration from this article or the Adorama price links in our Price Guides. You MUST click through our links in the same shopping session that you use our coupon. If you try to save a link for late, the coupon WON’T WORK. Once you click through a price link, you’ll see a price that’s higher than advertised (we’ll fix that in a moment).
  3. Add the MacBook Pro 16 inch to your cart anyway, and when you’re done shopping, begin the checkout process.
  4. Look for a link that says “Do you have a gift card or promo code?” next to the gift icon. Click that to bring up a coupon code field.
  5. Enter the coupon code APINSIDER in the field and click apply. The discount should appear under “Promo Savings” above the order total.
  6. That’s it. As always, if you have any issues, you can reach out to us at and we’ll try and help.

iMacs are the standard bearer of what a desktop experience should be. Packed with the latest processors and equipped with faster memory and phenomenal graphics, Apple’s iMacs are available in 21.5-inches or 27-inches in Retina 4k and 5k displays respectively. The most powerful iMac to date, the iMac Pro, can be customized with up to 18-cores, 256GB RAM and 4TB storage. Other Apple desktop models include the Mac Pro and Mac Mini, which equally deliver superior and immersive experience to users.

What is the true meaning of Black Friday? Black Friday’s informal name is rooted in the large increase in revenue from highly discounted sales that begin on the day after Thanksgiving, a significant factor in keeping many retail stores profitable or ‘in the black’.
